Looking for Head-to-head dad and son games

I'm looking for games I can play with/ against my son (9 years old) on two ipads. I think this is called head-to-head. Not looking for twitchy type games.

We played Tentacle Wars (fun), Pixel gun (I didn't care for), we have played Terraria and Minecraft but we are losing interest in them.

Any ideas? Thanks.
