Here are my plans for Ovogame's business in 2013 (I'm a full time single indie dev since 2008).

    In 2013, I will...

    - Increase my income by at least 20% (total income from all platforms, not just iOS)
    - Double my ads income.
    - Port all my games to Android & Win8
    - Release a brand new game.
    - Re-skin (as a 'new' game) Jump birdy Jump with a more 'mature' theme.
    - write some blogs or technical articles about my indie/mobile experience.

So, what are you plans for 2013?
It will be interesting to go back to this thread in ealry 2014 to see if our plans did succeed :)

    - Finish the book I've been writing off and on for a few years now
    - Work on adding more content to existing games

    Build 100 apps this year

iLifeTouch has set out to build 100 exciting apps this year. We have new offices
more 27" iMacs and exciting additional staff. Now if we could only wrap our heads around iCloud it will be a great year.

    Professionally we will:

    • Release 2 (probably 3, maybe 4) games after a long hiatus.
      - At least one of those games will be an experiment with real-time session based gaming and be cross-platform on Android with Unity3d
    • Build the studio into a full-time self-sustaining gig
    • Blog more

    On a personal note:
    • Become conversationally fluent in Hindi
    • Trek Annapurna Trail in Nepal
    • Volunteer more

Well I'm no where near as experienced as any of the rest of you who have posted here but I would really like to release my third game in 2013.

My goal is to finally get a polished game out there, all my games are pretty simple and the art in them sucks:p!
Also some money would be nice haha but that will only happen when I actually release something.

    -book 2 more speaking gigs
-have 10 apps out by june (by the end of my first year on the app store)

  17. In 2013...
I'm going to release my first app, it's titled noone... It is a futuristic shooter platformer open world game with lots of side quests, u play as a noone, noones, r created when a clone is murdered , it leaves a void and the exact opposite of it self behind, noones usually walk around like brainless zombies and attack anyone they see, the r see through and blend in well with the darkness, but u were born with the eyes of a noone and everything else human, can you find your past and fix it? The game is an fps powered by unity...

Also, if someone could help me with how to make a forum on this(erermmm) forum that would be most appreciated...

  18. Hey good luck to u I am also a dev team of 1 but I have a ton of testers, they didn't care for the alpha..:(

Think of it this way... at least you didn't get to beta/release before you found out!

  20. Yea, thanks but I might be doing the wrong idea for the AppStore, an open world fps wih platforming might be to heavey for the AppStore... The main complaint I got was that the story was to complex and couldn't be played in short bursts, but with over 30 people telling me this I'm wondering if there right, mabey I should water it down... Any way, are u all using any new software this year?
