These games were absolutely terrific on mobile deviced. Even SC and PoP on my old cheap Sprint phone 5 years ago was great. Now check these: 2 years later and still nothing, they are sitting on a goldmine here.
I wouldn't mind the 2D graphics, they're detailed. I much prefer good looking 2D games than crap looking (and playing) 3D games.
They made HoS a 2D game on regular phones and then a 3D game on the iPhone, wish they did the same with Prince of Persia.
I'm craving for some great old school 2D games. Really, I wouldn't mind having the original Prince of Persia remake on iPhone (just tweaked graphics, sound and controls while everything is still the same).
i think KISS applies to these types of games. Keep It Simple Stupid. We don't need all the crap bogging it down if it's gonna run like crap.
Exactly. Hell even when I was looking for those videos, I saw a 3D version of Prince of Persia that came out last year, but it looked horrible. I just went and found the old 2d game I'm accustomed to lol. Really liked the wall running and climbing.
They absolutely can do it and I am almost as certain they have the intentions to do so. However, they have a lot on their plate and will get to it...eventually.
Isn't Prince of Persia and Splinter Cell licensed to Ubisoft, not Gameloft? Or is the mobile version different?
hmph. i was thinking the same darn thing as i played PoP [[farah=donkey version]] on my ps3 oh well, time to start a petition... are posting petition links against the rules on TA?
Well, the way I see it, the Assassin's Creed that Gameloft ported to the iPhone is more of a Prince of Persia take than an Assassin's Creed game, but still good as Ubisoft originally made it.
ubisoft owns gameloft so that is why and it make since for ubisoft to have gameloft remake splinter cell. They would make so much money. Also assassins creed is ubisoft too and thesecond one gameloft is makeing is being switched to 2d.
Hmm, I can't make any sense of this. So if I replace 'owner' with 'mother': Gameloft has a mother this mother is Ubisoft's mother's brother So Ubisoft and Gameloft are brother/sister, and then they have an uncle who owns them both? But then how can it be Gameloft's mother??? God, I am so confused Either way, I have a feeling there is some inbreeding going on here.
They should port the PSP version of Prince Of Persia to the iPhone! That would be pretty sweet, although they might have to downgrade the graphics to play on older devices. The game was really fun, hopefully it's the next game they announce.
