Man I love card games. A few more rounds and I should have the hang of it. Nice look and jazzy music StratAll Well-Known Member Dec 24, 2009 160 17 18 #3 StratAll, Oct 11, 2017 This is a somewhat simple but otherwise very decent resource balancing game. The graphics are crisp, I like the art style. The most surprising aspect however is that this game is free and seems to have no IAP. Tinsel Well-Known Member Dec 8, 2008 508 5 18 #4 Tinsel, Oct 11, 2017 Really enjoying it, but haven't been able to finish a game (was able to finish tutorial) yet due to crashes. Wish it saved each turn so I could resume after a crash. Playing on 6+ iOS 10.3.3. Good stuff. Ive unlocked the second blessing after my first win, but on my second win I just got another message to the effect of unlocking that second blessing Id already unlocked. Is this a bug? StratAll Well-Known Member Dec 24, 2009 160 17 18 #6 StratAll, Oct 14, 2017 Hey LordGek, funny how I always find you in threads on niche deckbuilders and alike I am so digging this hidden gem! Anyway I encountered the same as you, restarting the game gives you an expedition in the jungle which leads to unlocking the second god again. So first I closed this expedition path, but that leaves you with a deck that does not lead to a god. While I was stuck I started choosing some of the more exotic options presented in the recurring cards. Spoiler I managed to unlock the third god by running out of food and going full canibal in the options presented. Good luck! Talbs Well-Known Member May 1, 2011 2,596 368 83 #8 Talbs, Oct 14, 2017 Just gave it a go myself, but honestly I found it monotonous. Card after card and each required choosing the same or similar options. I'd rather be playing Ascension or some other deck builder. That said, I'll admit I hadn't even made it to see a God which is apparently the aim of each play, but given I'd been doing the same thing for 15 minutes or so, I just closed and deleted. Someone feel free to fill me in with where is the captivating gameplay here. slothwerks Well-Known Member Patreon Silver Feb 8, 2014 267 19 18 http://www.twitter.com/slothwerks #9 slothwerks, Oct 15, 2017 This game is fascinating! It reminds me a lot of Reigns, in the sense that you're basically playing through a series of different events. At the core, it's also a resource management game which is again, similar to Reigns. What I really like about this game though is that there is a lot more strategy in terms of which resources you keep/toss. I've only gotten to the second storyline, but I like how each playthrough has different events in the deck. I'm hoping that some new events are added as you progress through the game. The random background radio that adds some light lore about the events is great. The suspicion/greed/food mechanics are great and add another layer of tension. It looks a bit strange on iPad (lots of blank area) and it's clear that it was meant for a phone. Nothing too major, just isn't as polished as it could be. I'd also like a bit more visual cues about whether or not my actions advanced the quest. In the Jungle Quest for instance, I could pick 'go left' or 'go right' and I wasn't clear if I'd advanced the quest at all. The main menu is also a bit fiddly - what's with the arrows instead of just swiping left or right? All-in-all, the game is absolutely fantastic and I wish I'd seen it earlier, because I think the presentation of events is much better than what I did in Meteorfall. I love how the events might add other events into the encounter deck, and that some of the events have multiple 'stages' you have to get through. So many unique and creative ideas here. Highly recommend. StratAll Well-Known Member Dec 24, 2009 160 17 18 #10 StratAll, Oct 15, 2017 After unlocking a god his blessings are added to the game (you choose up to 4) and playing with the first 3 blessings got me at least 2 new event types, one of which the artwork suggest leads to the next god. StratAll Well-Known Member Dec 24, 2009 160 17 18 #11 StratAll, Oct 15, 2017 +1 to saving during a run! I don't get random crashes but I can get it to crash when plugging in ears while the game is running. Hope this helps the devs tracking the issue down. If you ever see an event with multiple steps and a picture of 1 of the other locked gods on it, this is what you'll need to further explore. I never put it together until now. Riddle me this though, guys, is the inclusion of the Tax Man just random or is he directly a result of a chosen blessing? Like the nice little summation of each blessing when setting up a game intentionally leaves out some of the nasty hazards said blessing adds to the game?
