    An Android exclusive which is in active development, as per the usual Trese Brothers' development routines, which are: launch a beta, engage with the community, update several times a week.

    The free version doesn't have any ads, and allows you to play pretty much the game to completion. I know it has less content than the Elite version, but I can't say I know the details - less characters, weapons and equipment, I believe, and maybe some game modes?

    It's basically a cyberpunk game, similar to ShadowRun, where you are a Cyber Knight, and play an in an open-world game taking missions for the various syndicates/factions in the city, hire other people to work with you, buy weapons, cyber implants, hack the "Matrix" to get access to secure data and then sell to potential buyers... It has an immense scope. The gist from the store is:

    It's a very good game, though some might be dissuaded by the art style, or being rough around the edges. That being said, I can't recommend enough all of their games - Star Traders RPG (which is also available on iOS), Cyber Knights RPG, Templar Assault, and their new Kickstarter for Heroes of Steel, which would be a similar fantasy-based tactical RPG, looks quite promising. They also react very well to the community, and include several of the feedback on their very frequent update.

    And, as an added thing, if you buy the full version but don't like it, the developers provide their email addresses in the game description, and will honor any request for a refund after the 15-minute window Google allows. If that doesn't tell you how serious these two indie brothers are in terms of their commitment and love for their games, I have a hard time making my case :)

    I'll try to create threads for the three of these games, though the gist will be pretty similar.

    @pjft - thanks for getting the discussion going. Cyber Knights (and especially its art work) is getting a lot of attention and upgrades from the Trese Brothers right now (I am Andrew, one of the two on the team) as we have just released the Story: Made, Not Born which features 12 hours of content, unique characters, Runners, and Operations. Hope everyone will check it out and I will be around to answer questions etc.

    Thanks for dropping by Andrew, and thanks for elaborating on the game.

    I know Cyber Knights RPG is one of the most promising games you're working on at the moment, given its scope and all the ideas you have for it. I know that I have played it in the past several times, but due to my limited time I end up never playing for long sessions. When I get back to the game a few weeks and several updates later, the game is already substantially improved.

    Good luck with the Kickstarter!

    Cyber Knights v1.0.11 was just released to the Android markets last night in part of a "triple-release" effort in which all three of our games received awesome new updates. We've continued doing work to balance the beginning of the story mode based on community feedback (introducing new weapons that were missing from the spread, fixing dialog, tweaking job prices) and are working hard to stream-lining the play experience, especially around contracts! Who doesn't love new guns? Enjoy!

    Actually, wouldn't you want to write some sort of epilogue short stories for the world? I noticed in the Heroes of Steel KickStarter that you sometimes had fun writing some small stories about the world and some of the characters... :)

    A new release of Cyber Knights RPG has been released. Cyber Knights is a deep, turn based RPG/strategy game set in a dystopian cyberpunk universe. In the game you'll take command of a squad of elite shadow soldiers and runners. Will your team rise to fame and fortune? Or die in the gutter?

    This update to Cyber Knights fixes a few issues with the Elite edition and adds some new HUD elements to make it easier to keep track of the state of New Boston Zone.

    In the shadow conflict of this cyberpunk future, the soldiers are called Cyber Knights. Elite urban mercenaries they are expendable, deniable and effective. The megacorporations need them to do the dirty work in the grey beneath of the metroplex.

    Take control of a Cyber Knight and recruit, train, and equip a team of specialists to complete the most high paying but high risk jobs. Hack the Global Matrix, capture or assassinate targets, bodyguard dignitaries, packages, and encrypted data across the crumbling city of New Boston in 2217.

    The newest update of Cyber Knights introduces two powerful characters in the New Boston Zone -- Sean Kelly who leads the Fennian gang on the old Irish streets of Boston, and Side-Arm Gerrin, the ruthless street leader of the Los Valenitnos an up-and-coming street gang hell-bent on clawing its way into the NBZ power structure.

    The newest update also helps clarify the rules about Experience spending and puts the primary calculated Combat Statistics (Action Points) and its equation front and center in the UI.

    One of our new players on the forum has put together the following "Get Your Knight Started" checklist showing how he plays the game. It's an interesting strategy to avoid cybernetics so long, but it can help maximize your XP gain!

    Gravling, who has LOADS more experience with the game than myself, has it right with the implants stuff. My tactic QUICKLY moved from implants to attribute skill upgrade first. After 3 mucked up test games I moved to the following priority schedule.
    1) Stim up to 9+
    2) doctor up to 9 (the 100n-Y medkit is the only one I've seen that is cheaper per health than the doctors, and is relatively useless in combat)
    3) get the best weapon you can for your money/experience levels
    4) get the best armor you can for your money/experience levels
    5) get a multiple job comp (2 is good 3-4 is better, there's a 4 job comp for 10k but I don't know where yet.)
    6) prioritize your xp for either dex/stealth (my pref.) or athletics/brawling(Firearms)/AP when you're at 5's in all of this (10 in AP)
    7) after ALL of that buy whatever implants you like. (one notable exception I make to this is dermal plating which is like 25 IDV for +1 Body, +1 Ballistics, +2 Deflection Which I consider to be worth the 8&1/3% chance of no experience point).

    Your runners/allies should follow the same path as you. Which kind of dictates no implants until you're combat ready. (Note that the hackers dataport I is only 5IDV which is less than 2%)

    The newest Cyber Knights release is the beginning of a major push to re-vamp the entire hacking system and to bring it to the glorious level where it belongs. It's going to get complicated and fun as you load programs, deploy decoys, and battle security deckers.
