Shift still feels like its on rails [because it is (and so is Undercover)].

Get both. Real Racing is pretty solid in quality and most people like it, while I myself enjoyed NFS:S more. :)

Real Racing, first and foremost it is better and your money is better spent going to Firemint

REal Racing is cheaper, higher quality, more realistic/better simulation, amazing AI, nice career/online modes.

Shift is more fun for many, offers car customization, varied gameplay, more arcade experience (but thankfully not to the extent of the asphalt series).

Personally I prefer Real Racing, but Shift is a well built game.

Just wait for another EA sale and grab NFS for $4.99.

Real Racing is fun but is too realistic and gets boring after a while.

I still prefer RR over NFS, even after beating NFS.

I'd just get NFSS when it inevitably drops to $4.99

i like RR, not interested in customizing/pretty cars, just want a good racer with spot on graphics and controls, and i've found my winner in Real Racing.

You can turn steering assist off in the options menu, so it isn't on rails.

You can't go wrong with either, but my personal preference is Real Racing.

I like em both alot. But you really only play nfs for the cars. You play real racing because it's fun and you want to so I would go with real racing even though shift is good too.

My sentiments exactly! Perfect rundown of the two. At the end of the day, I found I'm picking up Shift more lately because it has the fun factor down pat.
