At least now we know it's definitely coming this year.
I suspected it would be more like the time gap between NOVA 2 to NOVA 3 and it'd be the first quarter of 2013.
Here's hoping they beef up security against hackers at the least for this one.

It also helps that it's Modern Combat 4 and not Modern Combat Tactics (free+) that is referred to in the statement. So that's good news too.

I agree. Loved just about everything about MC3. The hackers just ruined it for me and many others. I just hope that Gameloft have taken note of the damage hackers did to the online community for the game.

And nice catch by the way.

No I think they can make the graphics slightly better, there are games on the app store with better graphics like dead trigger, and that is a pretty similar game in terms of complexity.

Never experienced a hacker, I must be really lucky or just blind haha.

There should be more guns and maps, with more customisable attachments and paints maybe :p

Wonder how many are for iOS. Only 17 more weeks to the year, so 20 new games is a lot; can't all be for us.

Think the dynamic lighting, superior textures+models+animations of NOVA 3, add realtime character shadows and realtime shadow casting on guns and there you have a graphically superior game that'll run on a5 devices with some heavy optimization.

I was about to ask the same thing. You beat me to it.
Dead Trigger is entertaining at what it does, but complexity is not part of that bag.
It's a very simplistic zombie shooter.
MC4 needs to be more than that for online.
Graphics will definitely be improved to a level above NOVA 3 I would imagine

And probably lots of fog on non a5.
Here's hoping the iPhone is full (CPU and GPU) quad core and touches get a5 upgrade.

A4 devices just need to be cut out entirely, unfortunately. But I'm really looking forward to see what GL can do.

As for the iPhone 5 I'm thinking it'll be getting a gpu upgrade, but the a5x is to big for its casing. Maybe a precursor to the a6 or a variation of the a5. But this year isn't one for major CPU/gpu upgrades, those are every other year.

It be pretty cool if Gameloft had a feature in the upcoming MC4 game to detect if some one hacked the game. Also NO iAP!

I dont like nova 3, i find the controls confusing with all the jetpack and stuff, but now that you
mention it mc4 would be way better off without vechiles

Then you'll probably be waiting quite a while, my friend ;) if I remember correctly it was quite some time before mc3 went on sale.
