I'm curious if this is a new big update for the existing app or a seperate game. Because if it is a seperate game, it is pretty stupid as they have more plans for the original o&c (example; there are third talents for each class, stated as coming soon) yet there is no point of playing it when there is a sequel.

From what I've read, it appears to be a new game.

I'm expecting the absolute pinnacle of P2W and tiered vip money grabbing.

Gameloft is honestly one of the more fair P2W companies. You can literally get though their games without paying a cent.

Now if this was an EA game...

P2W in an MMORPG isn't referring to you reaching the highest level, it's referring to the balance in combat between the paying and the free user, especially in PvP.

Gameloft = bad copies of games that other developers invented + bad monetization strategies.
I don't understand how anyone gets hyped by this.

Because the standards have gotten so low that anything that isn't a mini-game looks amazing on mobile these days.

Even this looks better than most games released these days and the said thing is, that it actually is.

And the rest will gobble anything up anyway, since the game is "free".

Absolutely this. Make no mistake, GL's first priority is making as much money as possible. They've already shown with DH5 that they are fine with including purposely overpowered items so people spend money in the hopes of maybe getting said items.

They have the means to make a great game but not the passion or reason to. Instead this will be decent game riddled with IAPs and P2W mechanics.

I find it ironic it's named "redemption".
Hopefully they actually redeem themselves from their pay to win model ;)

By redemption, they mean your redemption-

    For not paying enough money.

Ive got a feeling they are going to launch this side by side with the new apple tv gaming system and it will be playable and probably featured on the new apple tv as well as iphone/ipad.

Excited to give this a try. I really dont knock F2P especially MMO anymore. Thats pretty much the only way to go to be profitable in an online game. If its done moderately well its fine. I dont want to end up a scumbag steve meme on reddit, "Complains that $2.99 too much for an ios game......Spends $100 on candy crush clone iap."

Watched the gameloft preview stream today. Game looks good. Biggest downside i saw is that it requires WIFI, no cellular. Can't wait for next Thursday!

Being an mmo this should not surprise. Do you need wifi to play WoW? Guild wars 2? Wildstar? I love the look of this game but the effects and numbers need to look better. They are still ugly and look outdated, a simple spiffy tightening up would work wonders for the game. Otherwise the world and animation is nice. All I'm hoping for is a streamlined and intuitive multiplayer experience and this will be what I'd hoped for. I need easy grouping as well as incentive to group
