There's a lot to look forward to -- I've played Edo Story, and I am enjoying it, but not to the level of other titles. It's honestly a bit confusing for me, especially the wording/vocabulary, though I can read Japanese. There are many aspects of Japanese history in this title. There is an interesting item-creation system, that can be used to enhance shops and traffic. The area is all open from the beginning, meaning no land needs to be purchased. -- I'll consider buying the other titles, and posting other impressions, but I'm running out of money in my Japanese iTunes account, so I may have to wait for a sale for the other title. And the Android market ones are quite expensive due to currency exchange rates.
While I'm pretty excited for those games, I can't help but think Kairosoft is running their "Story" genre to the ground.
Yeah, agreed. It's working pretty well for them though! Not sure if anything will top Game Dev Story, but keeping my hopes up. That game was magical.
We've already posted a bunch of info for both the new iOS games over at Kairospot, so if you're interested you can check it out here. http://kairospot.net/community/forums/UnportedGames/
