Got some really bad news for you! Wowzers! I am shocked! This game has some of the best graphics I have ever seen on my new ipad. Totally awesome ipad retina. Absolutely no framerate problems. Such awesome 3d, and a great Wizard of Oz theme. Wowzers! This game plays like Plants vs Zombies, but with a kind of rpg theme and character development. The characters are kind of very abstract and kind of humourous. The action is much more furious than PvZ, kind of a mix of a wargame and a tower defense. Kind has some of those traits, but much more frantic, kind of like in Sentinel 3 for example. A couple of people mentioned this to me in the past, but reading some ipad 3 users disgruntled about some issues kind of kept me away for the inevitable sale, cause if you are going to alienate ipad 3 owners, then you have a very small market. But wow, framerates, graphics, 3d effects, are soooo wonderful, one of the top on my retina ipad for sure. So no problems for ipad 3. Guess the contraversy was over antialiasing, ipad 2, mini and ipad 4 have anti aliasing. But heck, you don't even notice anti aliasing in this game cause the ipad retina is so gorgeous. Really don't notice the jaggies whatsover. In fact, if no one had ever made such an issue on this, I would have never noticed. I think the developer made a mistake on threads here stating that the ipad 3 would not have anti aliasing, I really think that was a huge mistake. Why alienate a huge portion of the market, he should have just said nothing about this, NO one would have noticed, cause I don't unless I use a microscope. Anyway, glad it finally went on sale, and yeah, it is awesome. Didn't think I could play it on tv that well cause tower defense games you kind of have go look at the ipad where you tap, but this game is more about placements, so it should actually look well on my tv, cause the graphics are some of the best ipad retina and 3d graphics that I have seen. 3d games look so wonderful on the tv. So looking forward to playing it somemore on my tv tonight. Well, underestimated the game, guess that's why a couple people mentioned to me in the past. Wow, truely wonderful graphics, 3d, gameplay, and action. If you like a more beefied up Plants vs Zombies merged with a tower defense rpg themed game, you will love this game. My only worry would be it gets a little repetitive after awhile, but that's hard for me to say since I've only played for 10 minutes, gonna wait for the rest to play on my tv, cause the 3d graphics and music are that great. Gonna upgrade my rating a bit on this game to highly, highly recommended! pka4916 Well-Known Member Jun 6, 2009 2,584 0 36 Male Wisconsin #9 pka4916, Jan 9, 2013 HAH... Yeah, I am glad I waited too with all of that weird ipad 3 contraversy and also glad to see there are no framerate issues with the ipad 3, just some jaggies that you just can't see without a microscope. I hope the gameplay doesn't get repetitive, but man, for a buck, it's worth it just to see the ipad retina graphics and go through the intro. acrotran Well-Known Member Jul 31, 2010 741 0 0 #12 acrotran, Jan 9, 2013 That's good to hear. Connector was kind enough to point me in this direction so if I can answer any questions for you, please feel free to ask. I usually post on the iPad forums but I'm happy to post here for a bit too. Just some quick hits: 1) The sale is a 24 hour sale. 2) The game is 100% IAP-free both at the $.99 tier and the full $3.99 tier. 3) We have a major content push scheduled for mid-late Feb. It will include 10 new levels, hopefully a dozen+ new Ozians and N.O.M.E.S, two new gameplay elements and lots of other stuff. The update will be free. 4) If you are an experienced TD player, skip the Easy level of difficulty, you'll thank me. 5) We've gotten a lot of feedback lately that there is too much text in the game. While our initial intent was to have a more story/RPG feel, we know that a lot of people what more action/less story. In the V1.2 update, we will have an enhanced map mode that will cut out about 75% of the story. In the meantime, there's lot of bad puns, hidden messages, etc. in the game written badly, unfortunately by me. I don't offend easily when it comes to this stuff so slings and arrows (and rotten fruit) will be borne with lots of stiff upper lip. 6) We are working on iPhone/Android/Kindle versions of the game concurrently with the V1.2 patch. So hopefully it won't be much longer until it is ready for those platforms. We have no intention of releasing "just another crappy port" to those devices (in the hopes of making some additional $$$$) so we will wait until we can get them right, even if it takes a little longer. I hope you understand and agree with our decision to delay them until they can stand on their own as worthy buys. Anyway, enough prattling from me. Thanks for your interest and support.
