    Hello,

I'm looking for some game recommendations. I'd like to find some games similar in style to Card Crawl or Sword and Poker; games with a card/board game feel or inspiration. In general I'm also looking for some polished and fun indie gems that may have never made it to the charts or weren't reviewed by TouchArcade. Some games I'm already considering are Solitairica, Card City Nights, and Dream Quest. In general I seem to enjoy games that feature character/equipment progression and upgrades, games that I can play casually or in long sittings, and games that cost under $5.

To give you an idea of some other games that I've loved, here's a list:
    -Ascension: Deckbuilding Game
    -Let's create! Pottery HD
    -Card Crawl
    -Hitman GO
    -Durak
    -A Dark Room

    Thanks!

Lost Portal seems interesting, but I've heard it's a bit unbalanced and unforgiving with how gold is gained/lost in random amounts for winning and losing respectively.

I think you will enjoy Solitarica. I can't play it for hours, but an hour or 2 at a time is good. Its entertaining.

That's a minor quirk only. It really is a good game.

You should check out pathfinder adventure card game
    Spellcraft
    Calculords
    Orions 2

    And many more

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll definitely check them out. I'd love more suggestions if you have them!

Also, it doesn't look like Orions 2 is on the app store anymore.

Buy Dream Quest. Do it now. Then get Guild of Dungeoneering and/or Solitairica.

Thanks for all the suggestions! Guild of Dungeoneering looks excellent; I may be picking that up along with Solitairica. I've been on the fence about dream quest, but I just can't get past the art. I'm not interested in some of the other card battle games due to their reliance on IAP currency for unlocks, or required internet connection.

Check out Scotland Yard by Ravensburger.

Ravensburger is an amazing developer in the first place but this is so polished and beautiful to look at, gameplay is entertaining an stealth mystery detective style game. Presented as more of a board game than a card game but it has a single player mode and once you master it you can share it with your friends. In the same vein, I also love Warhammer Quest. Jaw dropping graphics and hours of tactical mayhem at your fingertips. Actually all of the Warhammer titles are top notch. This is a nice step into that realm, even if you haven't read the books or know the backgrounds. This also is presented as a board game but has more of a DND vibe as a role playing game.
