Is it as smooth as Soosiz or Rick Rocketson? or is it choppy like Castle of Magic? I've been looking forward to this one since it was announced in the Upcoming Section. Looks fantastic. Gabrien Well-Known Member Nov 24, 2009 5,148 0 36 #8 Gabrien, Feb 8, 2010 I'm looking forward to it as well. Only need for controls to work (I honestly doubt they could mess up the frame rate...) for this to be close to the best platformer on iTouch/Phone. Nowhere near as much competition in that department here as there is on the DS. Well, sorta, considering it's gotten a modern facelift. Woulda been nice if they included a retro mode though. S.I.D. CrAzY Well-Known Member May 16, 2009 4,477 3 36 #10 S.I.D. If they don't screw up the port it's a worthy addition to the iDevices library. freedog Well-Known Member Mar 11, 2009 6,272 0 0 #13 freedog, Feb 8, 2010 So its $4.99? It's like having a barbie or hello kitty game. The monsters would look better, but the other girl (with red hair) is fine too. cranker Well-Known Member Jul 28, 2009 3,166 0 0 Montreal #16 cranker, Feb 8, 2010 I love this game but I am also wondering about the controls. I realy did not like the controls on castle of Magic. I will wait for impressions. sam the lion Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2009 1,456 0 36 Italy #17 sam the lion, Feb 8, 2010 controls implementation seems similar to soosiz here... they might work. It does make me wonder if we're going to see Hard 'n' Heavy now though... For some reason she reminds me of Pippi Longstocking. But in general I agree; it's a very chicky sort of icon. All it needs is a ring of hearts or glitter or something and it would be right at home on MySpace... thewiirocks Well-Known Member Aug 28, 2009 618 0 0 Expert Software Engineer #19 thewiirocks, Feb 8, 2010 Is this a port of the Nintendo DS game, or is this an original rendition of the Great Gianna Sisters? BTW, for those of you who've never heard of the game before, it was a popular Super Mario clone for the Commodore 64. (Thus the name Great Gianna Sisters.) They replicated level designs much in the same way Triniti did in Robo Rush. The difference is that SMB was still new at the time, so Nintendo sent a Cease and Desist forcing the sale of GGS to stop. Mindfield Well-Known Member Jan 17, 2009 5,206 0 0 Toronto, Ontario, Canada http://www.frapstr.com #20 Mindfield, Feb 8, 2010 FWIW, GGS also came out on Amiga and ST. I suspect the changes and lack of retro mode in this version though are because of Nintendo's old hissy fit, so it's understandable, much as I wish they had the ol' punk-rock-haired chicky.
