Hello, I updated the first post with more info about the game and to announce that we will run a second beta test soon. Please send us your application if interested! For those who already participated to the first test, I will e-mail you soon.
It is completely unrelated with the flash game which has the same name. We heard about it after choosing our name, and decided to keep it. Do you think it is a bad choice ?
We are still working on the second beta version. Testers will have it next week. We hope to have the final game released on October.
We had the exact same issue when we decided to call our game "Breed". After we had started some initial marketing, we learnt of CDV's game, also called Breed. We then changed it to "Star Breed". We did it for 3 reasons... 1. We didn't want to unnecessarily get into a "discussion" with CDV about the name. 2. We wouldn't have to explain to everyone "no, it's not that game" 3. It really helps our SEO. Just try googling now for Star Breed and you'll see us all over the first page. Getting on Google's first page is really really hard and it would have been impossible if we had stuck with the name Breed.
