I'm a nondeveloper interested in creating a game but since Gamesalad is Mac only, i need help for windows. I also would be interested in cheap or free options for now.
You're not going to be able to publish an iPhone game without a Mac anyway, so you might as well just get one and run Gamesalad on it. --Eric
If you just wanna make a simple PC game you could go with Game Maker 8 (http://www.yoyogames.com/gamemaker), it doesn't require any programming skills and there are tutorials about, but as Eric5h5 said you won't be able to make iPhone games.
i think you need to make the investment and buy a mac. if you are not prepared to pay a few hundred dollars ($599 for mac mini) - and the various costs; for learning a language, developer fees and toolchains; then you really should find something else to do
