Anyone else really wanting Gameloft to release their Civilization 5 port on iOS?

i didn't even know there was a Civ 5 port. But it looks really great. I'd pay a lot of money for it ($5-10), especially if it is better than the very uninspiring, watered down Civilization Revolution.

    I would like that too!

But as Gameloft bets all in the freemium game form -

    I can just see it:

Just $0,99 to rush a unit!

Research up to the modern era! $15,99!

    Not a great prospect...

A well-implemented version of Civ (preferably Civ IV) with a solid asynchronous multiplayer implementation has been my greatest gaming dream since I first played UniWar, and realized just what a revolution and paradigm shift asynchronous gaming really is. Civ, with its long-term focused and contemplative gameplay, might just be the perfect async title.

This version looks really good. Though I can just imagine it being released for iOS, in all its splendor, but without any kind of multiplayer, little less asynchronous multiplayer ;)

I wish I never saw this video... I would kill to have this on the iOS. I love CivRev but damn I'd love this.

It's most likely $6.99 along with all there other java games. When I had a java phone even doodle jump was $7. Way overpriced!
