I am playing the Beta, so I have a few comments. Really great visual style, but the game itself is a bit boring. Then consider that it is freemium and you have a painful experience (no IAPs in the Beta just yet).

There is already iAP in the Game. Didn`t you see the Stores in the Village?

Actually I`m not sure anymore if they won`t support the iPhone 5 too since Bastion does run on the smaller iDevices too. I`m wondering how scaleable the Engine of Akaneiro: Demon Hunters could be really.

for me is ridiculous because bastion game is very enjoyable in 4 inch iphone 5 screen.

i think is much better iphone 5/pad 4 only because both are the new one for better hardware etc.

I played the open beta on PC for a bit, and I can say a couple things:

1.) The game is gorgeous-looking in the browser. I like the night-time feel of everything.

2.) The music is repetitive, but it fits the ambiance of the game.

3.) The game as it currently stands is a bit of a grind. Not as bad as Glu, but still pretty grindy. This is made worse due to the initial class imbalance; Cunning is fairly gimped until some of the later skills are unlocked, whereas Prowess and Fortitude have greater power and survivability right off the bat. However, the Cunning skills are very powerful if used well (fire trap + caltrops + teleport&stun = dominance) but it takes time to develop a Cunning-based character to that point.

4.) The game is still in open beta. As such, this is not a true review, just a few salient points I noticed as I played. Also, there are a couple bugs, but nothing too serious yet.

5.) The Beta community is very newb-friendly. I know this because the website that has the browser client has a dedicated chat room that is monitored by the devs and community volunteers. Very helpful chat and a great place for tips and strategy.

6.) Combat is Diablo-style, but with a higher focus on strategy and mob management. Plus, it is pretty darn fast. Those used to the pace of Orc: Vengeance will have a hard time keeping up with this one.

So, initial and VERY incomplete impressions are positive overall, and it would be worth checking out either in the open beta or at launch in about 9 days, according to a timer on the site.

This game has come a long way since its closed beta, can't wait to give the iOS version a shot.

Had a question though, suppose your playing on an iPod touch on the go with no wifi available? Will there be an optional offline free roam mode?
