    Hi,
is it possible to save the save games of games from the app store on my PC?

Because i want a new iPod Touch and don't want to loose the save games.

    My iPod isn't jailbroken.

Sorry for my bad English. Hope you understand what I mean :p

    You need to jailbreak first.

I think that you can make a backup in iTunes.
I'm not 100% sure if it saves the saves.
Try to look it up in the Help section.

    It doesn't save the saves.

No I don't think you have to.

I believe if you do a restore to the new ipod it will transfer all the old game saves.

    McDonalds! French Fries anyone?
At that place... with those... people...
Restoring deletes all the save files but keeps all of your games.

Yes, you can. Just make sure to do the following:

    1) sync and backup your current iPod with iTunes
    2) connect your new iPod and sync it. iTunes should ask you if you want to restore it from an existing back up. Say yes.
    3) when syncing finishes, sync again -- this will bring in all your media and apps

You should have all your saves, though you may have to sign in again on any social networks or multiplayer servers. Some apps that use your UDID to identify you online may give you trouble, but that's rare these days.

Make sure to sync twice -- that's the key.

For future reference, these kinds of threads should go in the Lounge
    area.

    Hope it works.

    Thanks all.

It would be very cool if each game transfer the saves to the PC and later back to the iPod.
Apple shall make it possible :p

I know that this topic has been dead for a while but I didn't want to start a new one. My question is this: Do I get my Angry Birds, Soosiz and GTA:CW saves back, if I backup->reset->restore my iPhone? Some guys on another forum have had positive results in speed/battery life with a reset but i don't want to risk those near 100% saves in the process:(

Backup includes your app data, backup -> restore -> sync will bring everything back for your apps.

You do need to have all of your apps in iTunes so they can be synced over - they do not get backed up (just the app data)

An interesting note is that the app data gets put on the device with the restore process, even if the app doesn't. You can put the app back on later and it will have your save data. (Of course if you manually remove an app everything gets deleted - I only came across this because my restore -> sync failed miserably after migrating to iOS4.0 and only a portion of my apps synced over...)

Thanks for the quick answer. I guess I'll try this now and hope that my pc won't crash in the middle of it...

EDIT: Yay! All the important games are unaffected by the reset. It's funny how my sync speed tripled by plugging straight into the usb port of my iMac and not a hub(my normal set-up)

Contact the devs of your favorite games and ask them to use File Sharing in iTunes for game saves.

My favorite example of this is The Quest - where not only can you easily import/export your saves, you can use them with the PC version of The Quest! :)
