Looks like Sliding Heroes is free, and Song Summoner is half off. Woo!

Lol, just had an epic idea: if I use only music I've written, it'll be like I actually made the characters myself :p.

I am reverse-recommending Vanguard Storm. It's barely long enough to merit even 2 dollars. A pretty disappointing game overall.

I haven't played it yet, but it's 2 full games in one app and they're both TRPGs by Square Enix. So yes, it probably is :).

Yeah, but it's a port of an ipod game. it really is decent, but I would definitely wait for FF: Tactics if you can only get one.

Picked up Chaos Rings! Still thinking about picking up Crystal Defenders and/or Song Summoner... Probably won't, but I'm thinking about it. Recommendations for or against?

I'm thinking of getting Song Summoner as well - the aspect of leveling your character via listening to musics seems like a really cool idea :D

    Can anyone recommend it?

I still don't know if it is worth $1/hour of gameplay for Chaos Rings... especially since it has little replay value :(

I don't own the game yet but I've heard people post on the chaos rings thread that the game lasts for a very long time and has lots of replay value. Can somebody confirm this before I drop 10 bucks?

  17. Sweet. Should I get Chaos Rings, FFI, or FFII for now? :)

I bought Chaos Rings when it first came out. The good thing is that for the first set of characters you play - it's really fun and new but once you finish the game with them, you have to restart with the other three set of characters which becomes more of a chore.

For each set of characters, it is roughly 10hrs of gameplay but more if you want to level to 100.
The game doesn't end untill all set of characters are level 100 and you fight the final boss (sorry if that was a spoiler). Although it does have little replay value, i think the individual story lines is intriguing enough for a second, third and fourth play.

Second time playing, you keep all the genes you've gathered from your first run through; which is up to you if that's good or bad :p

That's one of the biggest reasons I haven't bought the game yet.

Agreed - the production values may be phenomenal. The graphics and musical score may be fantastic, and the storyline may be deep - but I want to have FUN while playing a game.

I really didn't like FFXIII for similar reasons and, decided to get FF1 instead since i've never played it.

Would FFI or FFII be worth it? I'd only get one, so which should I go for?

Also, Chaos Rings (IMO) has not been a waste of 13 bucks at all. I do like the stories (mostly, anyways), and it is the typical RPG (good or bad, good in my opinion though).
