Or, at least the tame type of IAP. sivad Well-Known Member Mar 28, 2013 641 1 16 #4 sivad, Mar 3, 2015 it says IAPs in the description, hopefully to just advance faster to end game, looks like single player touchy85 Well-Known Member Jan 21, 2015 1,616 1 38 #5 touchy85, Mar 3, 2015 Game Impressions Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel well, aiming in this game is really hard and the minions barely do any damage. And guess what, you can buy a aiming line or extra damage. These power ups are pretty expensive (you can buy them with ingame currency). But I am pretty sure this is the part where the IAPS come in. Playing on people's addiction to Warhammer to sell another angry birds type. This could be any theme. DonnyDJ76 Well-Known Member Nov 1, 2011 1,792 55 48 Male Teacher Hackensack, NJ #8 DonnyDJ76, Mar 4, 2015 You take a game like Catapult King, which made a lot of money for Chillingo, Wicked Witch and eventually EA and you combine it with a popular theme (Warhammer) that I have no interest in. I'm sold, and the comparisons to Angry Birds are off. drelbs Well-Known Member Jun 25, 2009 11,200 7 38 #9 drelbs, Mar 4, 2015 Haha! Great use for snotlings! Might have bought this if it weren't freemium. Dekon Well-Known Member Jun 4, 2009 100 0 16 Belgium #10 Dekon, Mar 4, 2015 looks more like a Catapult King ripoff to me! Kirenx Well-Known Member Mar 16, 2012 774 0 0 #11 Kirenx, Mar 5, 2015 Pretty fun so far. I'm on level 60 and have not needed any IAPs, so it doesn't really seem freemium. No timers or anything to limit your play time. I have not had any issues with the controls. The game does get hard fairly early on, but as frustrated as I got I still wanted to press on to overcome the challenges, generally a good sign. Graphics are humorous and not too bad although the zone walls are a bit bland and uninspired. The different ammo creatures are interesting, although more would be welcome. My biggest complaint right now would be a lack of variety in regards to enemies. I'd love to see bosses other than the wizard on the two-headed griffon. A few different soldier types that do different things could be interesting, as well as terrain with different problems to solve, such as trees/snow banks that could be knocked down. Overall I am feeling I got a decent value for my money, but I can't see the game being more than a temporary diversion if the developers don't show some innovation and continued support. iPlayApps Active Member Mar 18, 2010 28 0 0 German indie developer #12 iPlayApps, Mar 6, 2015 New gameplay video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88BeJGhgaP8 WickedWitch New Member Oct 15, 2014 4 0 0 #13 WickedWitch, Mar 10, 2015 Hi everyone! It was fun, and I like that I can know go through all the stages again using the special ammo for additional badges. However, the teeth cost of each special ammo means I'm going to need to do a lot of grinding for teeth as I press on, simply to play a stage for specific badges. Perhaps the cost of the special ammo could be reduced? I did notice at least one stage that bugged me a bit. It was on a mountain on the map and made reference to snow, yet the stage was completely bare earth. Some different terrain would really break the monotony of the rather dull scenery. I really hope that new content isn't simply more layouts of the same blocks and enemies. Some different human/other species troops would go a long way. More stages with movement and timing would also serve to spice things up. I can imagine ogres that swat snotlings away if you hit them at the wrong time, or something that involves a bit of different thinking. I'd really like it if the stages near cities actually resembled cities or fortifications. Very few looked like something you would be using siege weaponry against. Often stages consisted of a few house-like structures, which while fine for the beginning, began to feel underwhelming as the game went one. Build some large forts/castles/barricades, even if the player only needs to target certain points. Good game, but still needs some polish and filled in content. jibjelly Well-Known Member Apr 17, 2015 356 0 0 #15 jibjelly, Sep 1, 2015 Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
