Hello everyone, I am Victor - the producer of Alive 4-ever. First of all, I would like to thank all of you for your support and interest in our game. Our whole team has been so excited to see so many positive comments that all of you wrote up here and this only motivates us even more to drive this game to perfection.

In the past few days, we have been very busy with gathering all kinds of comments and we already have a list of items to be included in our future updates!

Now, guess what would be the first item on our list... Yep, you have got it - the Survival mode. We will start the development soon and I would like to ask everyone before we proceed - what do you most want in the survival mode?

From now on, I will be here everyday (but no commitment :p) to update everyone on our progress.

I would like to see some tweaks before new modes etc.

I find the game very dark, especially in the forest environment. I'd like a brightness control slider ingame please. Also, being stuck under a tree attacked by dogs *really* sucks. Is it possible to make characters still viewable under trees and other objects? Transparency maybe?

Finally the highscores are currently rather useless as they are local.

You need a melee weapon. Chainsaw or something, it always fits to bloody games. Also, please add this game mode: Point A to point B/Story. The lack of story is ruining alot. Story is what made every game famous, but of course, gameplay aswell.

For the survival mode, add a online highscore board. Talking about online, a lot of us have yet to play online because of no bluetooth connection. So before updating the game with new stuff, just make it so you can play online via wifi. That will give users a new experience at the game to keep them entertained for a bit. The online feature is already there, but a lot of us just cant access it because we dont have friends w/ bluetooth.

Back on topic, definitely make it so you gain exp during survival mode. Its pretty hard to level up when you in the 30's by doing missions.

Quoted for the truth. Online multiplayer is so you never stop playing!
(and please, try to not only make it co-op. Against each other aswell! With zombies making it harder! =D)

nah i dont want a head to head game i just want co-op ie L4D. Some longer missions for Co-op would be good too.

Your game is amazing as it is, but I am thrilled about the updates, and specifically survival mode. I would like there to be a wave system, so that there is some indication of when harder foes are coming and when more powerful weapons are available. Thanks!

reposting my comments from the main thread:

A couple things I would like to see interface-wise:

-when you are at Base Camp and hit "let's go", I would like to return to the level selection screen so I can get back into a game more quickly versus being taken to the screen where you have to choose between "let's go" and hosting/joining a multiplayer game...this seems like an unnecessary step, since you can also choose to return to the main menu from base camp

-also, in the Scene selection screen, it would be great to see along with the Objective and Challenge discription a little icon showing whether we have already earned the challenge for that scene

wouldn't mind seeing several scenes comprising one overall storyline, like each scene being a floor of a large building like a hospital and you have to explore each room looking for equipment, survivors, etc or opening a door to a room full of zombies...the pickup/drop button could double as a door open button or have a separate door open/close button

you would start at the entrance and must find the stairs going up to the next level to get to the next scene

    for example
-scene 1 (floor 1) - you enter the hospital looking for survivors and find a survivor or computer with information saying a researcher at the hospital had been working on an experimental vaccine
-scene 2 or 3 (floor 2 or floor 3) - you find the researcher after fighting some pretty nasty monsters/zombies who tells you that, yes, he or she has been working on a said experimental vaccine but that all their research and the only batch of the vaccine is located on the top floor of the hospital in a secured lab, you then have to escort the researcher back to the stairs going down so they can exit the building to safety while you find the stairs going up
-scene 3 or 5 (floor 3 or 5) - fight your way to the research lab, there should be a boss fight and then you can gain entrance to the research lab and retrieve the items and make your way back to the stairs down or up to the roof for helicopter evac

I figure you could always intersperse levels to make the 3 story pieces take 5 scenes. The floors themselves could really be pretty big and it would encourage you to explore rooms so you could pick up ammo and health. I really like the idea of going from A to B to complete a level besides just bringing survivors back to one point or killing X number of creatures.

Also, yes, just "Equipment" and not "Equipments", and instead of "Weapon Change" how about "Weapons Locker". And, yes, transparency while under trees.

Also I would like a health indicator or their graphics changing to show that bosses are actually taking some damage.

Also, when a level ends, don't let the zombies keep chewing on us...have the action freeze and then fade away...just seems annoying that your character gets chewed on when you've succeeded.

Also, I don't know if I'm the only one, but I had a lot of trouble with the controls. I would be moving along and suddenly they would snap to center and not respond to my touch until I lifted my fingers and put them back. This caused me a bunch of frustration...which you can see if you've been following the main thread. I had the same problems again today fighting the giant centipede boss.

The text for the intro story needs some cleaning up. I'll try to put up some alternate text up later.

I would also like to be able to buy accessories for our weapons...bigger magazines, flashlight, laser sight.

And more one handed guns with more punch to them.

I would also like survival mode to be waves of enemies like Gears of War 2's "Horde mode". personally I don't get a real sense of achievement from endless blasting like minigore.

awesome game by the way. keep up the great work and I'll keep on recommending A4E to my friends!
