This is so bizarre, but I would really like to add that I really want this, and any additional updates that may be available to buy. Something other than an angry birds/endless runner and jewel swapping game. Keep up with the good work and keep us updated
Cool.. so far we've got a number of positive initial responses. It was even picked up by a Russian apps site. Currently working on the GUI and adding sounds to the models. Here's the splash screen. It's actually an in-game render, but I made it a bitmap so that it loads faster. All orientations are supported as well as all resolutions (normal, retina, iPad)
Here's the screenshot of all available items to dissassemble: Item Pack 1 will be FREE!!! Item Packs 2,3,4 will be available via In-App purchase. Price to be finalized later.
If that's the pricing model you're going to go with I'd recommend adding a "buy all" button for 2/3 the price of individual purchases. I know I'd use it!
Any idea on a release date and will you be continuing to support this app after release with extra content?
The original planned date was around mid-October, but looks like that's gonna slip. Now probably targeting late-October or early November. Yes, additional content will be coming in the future! There are plans for an Item Pack 5 a few months down the road.
We would love to see it on a 3DTV too, however there are some technical challenges involved in getting a proper 720p SBS HDMI output from the device. Apple's default Display mirroring wouldn't work because it is not fullscreen on the TV. Rest assured that if these problems are overcome, we will release this feature in a later update. As a consolation, we will be releasing a 3D video clip to Youtube when it's close to release. You should then be able to watch this on your 3DTV or any other 3D viewing method. Stay tuned!
Good news, Disassembly 3D is in the final stages of testing and preparing for App Store submission! On track for release!
It has already been submitted to the App Store for review on Friday! Barring any unforeseen issues, it should be available by the end of the month. We will announce the exact release date here!
Looks pretty cool. My Sony 3D monitor has side-by-side and over/under decode modes. Think all you would need to do is have the two views (like the cross-eye view), but condense the pic on each side to half size horizontal. Then via airplay or hdmi connect, hook to monitor, turn on side-by-side 3d, put on the glasses and BLAM full 3D on screen - no strabismus! could be easy addon feature... i'll probably grab this one either way cuz it looks fun. So kudos on a cool product!
Yup, it's exactly as you described. Getting the side-by-side output to a 3d tv actually isn't too hard. The challenge is to get it at a decent framerate! Research is already underway into this, so expect to see it in a future update!
Good news, Disassembly 3D has been approved by the App Store! The release date has been set to Wednesday 26th October! Be prepared for the most awesome destruction experience!!
