I tried the search function, but nothing came up. If I buy an iPad mini 2, would there be some graphic intense games that struggle on the older A7 device?
Yes. I had a Mini 2 a year ago and it has struggled on a bunch of games. I wouldnt recommend an Mini 4 either cuz it has an A8 SoC only. Go with an Air 2 instead and thank me later.
I still have an iPad Mini 2 from 2013 and till now, there is not a single game released on the Appstore that I have not been able to run on it very smoothly and I play mostly graphics intensive games that normally run into Gigabytes. Every game still plays flawlessly on the Mini 2. You should have no problem for now getting one.
I agree, this is exactly what I did. I really prefer the form factor of the mini and I held out with my gen 1 waiting for the 4 but when they announced the specs I opted for the Air 2 for the extra horsepower.
