I actually emailed Neil about this. He said they were perfecting everything for the 3.0 update but they WILL continue the update-a-week.

Was discussed it briefly in the Rolando 2 news thread. Ngmoco's twitter said they sent in the 1.5 update on May 5. It has never come. The Rolando App Store page now says an update was submitted May 20. It hasn't come yet :(.

Only two more levels? Damn I was hoping they would have combined a couple to make up for the few weeks off. Off to try them out, anyway :).

Edit: City Centre is hard work! Speaking of which, I better get back that ... and play later :).

Just was wondering since I didnt want to start a new thread and take up space...

Would you rather have Toki Tori or Rolando?

I've definitely been noticing the similarities between Toki Tori and Rolando as well.
I think Toki is more of a tough puzzler, whereas Rolando has stronger platform elements.
Both are excellent, but I think Rolando just wins out for me, probably just because I'm a platformer kinda guy

I would say that they're different. But you can get both for the same price that I bought Rolando at :)

At first iTunes said there was an update available, then upon loading the My App Updates page it changed its mind; I was able to catch it out with a second check - as usual when I downloaded it, the App Store page still said the old version number.

Re the comparison to Toki Tori, I agree that TT focuses more on difficult puzzles. In Rolando it seems it is pretty hard to disguise what you have to do on a level, but then again it is also infinitely more forgiving - you usually can't get into an unrecoverable situation if you don't lose too many rolandos. In TT usually any single wrong move results in a restart.

Rolando goes more for the story and gimmicky touch-based game elements, but nothing that you do really changes a level negatively. As for preference, I reckon the gameplay style and the theme of Rolando win out - plus it's a lot less frustrating :).
