Since upgrading my tablet, I"m on the look-out for console-quality premium titles that still work on IOS 7 and hold up well today.

I'd like to keep this thread free of the pay2win garbage apps if possible, mainly looking for console-quality (ports or otherwise) games. I already have tons of more indie-like games, looking for games with a bit more substance, quality and content.

So what are your top 5? I need ideas.

    Mine so far are:

    - Pocket RPG (4.99 - no IAPs at all)
    - XCOM Enemy Unknown ($20 no IAPs) - full console port
    - Avadon: The black Fortress ($10) - full PC port of an excellent RPG
    - Space Miner HD
    - Warhammer Quest

Penumbear - I could easily see this platformer releasing on PSN or XBLA

Icoboto - in terms of narrative, puzzle platforming, art style, and atmosphere, this is another game I could see being on PSN or WiiU

Monument Valley - kind of a cheat since it's not even out, but I beta tested it and the puzzles and art style rival anything seen in Fez. It would be awesome with a PS4 touchpad or Kinect controls.

Type:Rider - already on PC/Steam, but the atmosphere, thematic art style, and inventive level design is top-notch and unique

Block Fortress - tons of depth and near endless replayability

On a side note, EPOCH is on Steam Greenlight so it will be on PC eventually, with mouse aiming and keyboard controls for movement

    Good ones currently installed:

    Bastion
    Sonic the Hedgehog 2
    Asphalt 8
    Spiral Episode 1
    Battle Supremacy

    These all support MFi controllers.

Surprised no one has mentioned Republique yet. Lots of the reviews even mentioned it being console quality.

Well, this thread is for one's TOP 5, and as a one-button touch game, i dont think it would be in anyone's top 5, although it is a decent game.

If there was ever an IOS game that defined console quality, it would be Bug Heroes 2. In terms of visuals and art style, depth, content, it could easily hold its own on PSN or XBLA

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Galaxy on Fire 2 HD. I just upgraded to a iPad mini retina and the game looks amazing, plus the gameplay is pretty awesome too.

I would have put it on my extended list but I haven't played it since it supposedly went FTP and the many complaints about how the ads and "tweaking" have made it a grind as opposed to when old customers like myself bought it when it was a paid app...
