It should work on 2. gen. The slowest device I have tested it on is iPhone 3G with iOS 3.0 and it worked.
Looks nice but if you can't interact with them some people might get bored with it, but it would be pretty cool to create gigantic cut away models of who knows what.
App doesn't limit number of cubes, but if there is large number approx. over 1000 - 10000 (depending on a device) of cubes showing on the screen at the same time it will slow down. But even if you build something so big you won't have so much cubes showing on the screen at the same time. You can't walk around in first version, but I'll probably add that later. I was even thinking about adding enemies like in FPS.
This is sounding better and better! Being able to create a spawn point and walk around your creation would be amazing. I hope you do add it and enemies sound cool to. If both these features are added a get the feeling that this could be the best world-building app in the store!
Who cares? Minecraft on iPhone would be awesome! This app looks great, and monsters, multiplayer and walking around would make it better!
It is currently being reviewed by Apple and I am expecting response in 1-5 days. I will post a download link when app gets approved.
It's unique. Minecraft is game where with first person camera where you dig cubes and put them somewhere else and this is app for drawing stuff out of cubes in 3d which takes advantage of touch screen making control of camera and building easy. I hadn't heard for Minecraft when I started making Cubeville.
It is available on the App Store now. Download link: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cubeville/id423127945?mt=8
