I bought it, but never got to play it. I saw the must login to play and i just hit the home button, and deleted it. Not really frustrated, but disappointed as some reviews make it sound like a good take on the puzzle RPG formula. It was well worth the dollar to buy, for free it's a steal. Interesting twist on the Dungeon Raid formula with Persona-style minion evolving mixed in. It's not worth the download unless you just want to be able to review the game and give it 1-star. In that sense, yeah, it's worth it. Otherwise, it's a complete waste of people's time. One battle before you run out of mana? Nah uh... BGrifter Member Jul 20, 2012 13 0 0 #10 BGrifter, Sep 9, 2012 How on earth did you manage to run out of mana in one battle? The only thing I can guess is you took a high level special event quest or something? If you stick to regular quests you'll level up before you run out of mana, and leveling up refills mana completely. No need to purchase any IAP ever. (I refuse to buy IAP aside from full game unlocks) 3parkbenchhydra Well-Known Member Mar 20, 2012 147 0 0 #11 3parkbenchhydra, Sep 9, 2012 How in the world did you manage to do that? It's quite a feat. Greyskull Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2009 5,588 1 38 Photographer/Social Sciences adjunct/sweet sweet l Fort Lauderdale #12 Greyskull, Sep 9, 2012 Yeah. It happened to me. It's hard to read all of the tutorial lines (it skipped passed a few), and after the tutorial, I read the game guide. It left things somewhat still confusing. I then went to select a battle and chose the star shaped icon, which I guess was a special quest. BOOM, 20 mana gone. App deleted. I suppose, since the Facebook link isn't working and it doesn't appear to connect to GC thatI could reinstall and begin again. I'll see if I get bored...I'm a sucker for match 3 games with RPG elements. retr0spective Well-Known Member May 24, 2011 915 17 18 Riverside, CA #13 retr0spective, Sep 9, 2012 I just tried this out because I am a fan of Match-3 RPGs also. Unfortunately, the battles seemed anti-climactic and uninteresting and the Menus cumbersome. There are several excellent games in this genre such that you really need to do something special for it to be worthwhile, in my opinion. It's hard to run out of mana if you play it correctly, the game itself is deeply addicting and always makes me play "one more round". And your first 35+-combo is quite... orgasmic... orangecan Well-Known Member Aug 9, 2011 1,997 145 63 #15 orangecan, Sep 10, 2012 I'm quite enjoying the gameplay elements themselves but after playing through the tutorial and the help screens I'm still non the wiser as to the other elements of the game like levelling up etc.... Think I'll keep at it for a bit though it definitely has something that keeps pulling me back in awp69 Well-Known Member Oct 30, 2009 8,249 0 36 Greenville, SC #16 awp69, Sep 11, 2012 After reading some of the comments here, I wasn't so sure about this game, but surprisingly have found it pretty enjoyable. I think I've won like six or seven battles so far without running out of mana. But I also don't think I entirely know what I'm doing. The match three battles are pretty slick and I think there's some nice ideas of summoning heroes, using other players characters, etc. That said, I think I'll probably get to point where I get crushed because I don't know if I understand everything in the game. But so far I'm more impressed than I expected to be. Feels like a mix of Puzzle Quest and a deeper RPG with Pokemon elements (that last part is something I never have gotten into so it may throw me for a loop as I get deeper). Only thing I immensely dislike is the whole having to have an Internet connection thing. I understand it with the way you can share your characters, but still annoying. Otherwise, I'd recommend trying it. You might end up deleting it straight away like others have, but not much to lose. Misguided Well-Known Member Jan 27, 2009 2,346 19 38 #17 Misguided, Sep 11, 2012 Those who have said you shouldn't be running out of mana after one quest are correct. This is a neat (and great-looking game). My problem with it is my ability to produce better troops vastly outpaced my ability to use them, which really killed the fun factor. What's the point of making new dudes I can't use. Part of that was I got a 5-star summon from the random thingy very early, but still, it kind of took the fun out of it. Neat idea, but grindy.
