It’s a murder mystery with a twist—because you decide what ultimately happens. ******* 4.5 out of 5 stars — TouchArcade PG Silver Award — PocketGamer ******* Awakened by an oncoming storm, you open your eyes to discover yourself in a strange, dark room—tucked away in a house that’s not yours. As you play the game, it changes—subtly, almost imperceptibly—to reflect your perspective. It's a horror game unlike any other, and as you'll discover, its truths are entirely subjective. ******* FEATURES: - an intimate, story-based adventure that you control - a horrific mystery tale where your decisions matter - a creepy soundtrack that brings you deep into the world - gorgeous, illustrative pixel style ******* CRITICAL ACCLAIM: "A sophisticated, horrifying narrative experiment." — The Verge "Keeps you intellectually engaged even when you aren't playing it." — Gamespot "Leaves one mulling its final moments well after the credits have rolled." — Torontoist Information Seller:Benjamin Rivers Inc. Really? It's an absolutely awesome game that doesn't have Hostel style moments. It takes its time with the story and slowly builds and builds the tension, but I will spoil it if I say any more. If you like horror moves in the style of fast paced and brainless flicks such as Hostel, Saw 3-20, and so on, and need action like Slender, pass on this game. But if you enjoy that slow build up as you discover truly horrific things, then you'd be crazy to pass this game up. Nobunaga Well-Known Member Jun 2, 2012 1,094 0 0 #3 Nobunaga, Jul 11, 2013 Nice post. If you like games like the Silent Age or Gemini Rue and don't mind not having action/shooting moments, this is a great game. I didn't mind paying full price. Hope the sale opens this up to more people. It deserved more attention than it got. andsoitgoes Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2010 2,673 58 48 In a van, down by the river! #4 andsoitgoes, Jul 11, 2013 Yes! I forgot Gemini Rue. Yet another game that I've played maybe 2 hours of =\ I hope people bought that game, it was amazing. And silent age, yet another game I was thrilled to download, and that one I haven't even so much as opened. But now I'm interested. undeadcow Well-Known Member Dec 4, 2010 9,493 2 36 Houston, TX #6 undeadcow, Jul 11, 2013 What is the meaning of this? I'll admit to hesitating at $2.99 but Home's experimental style emphasizing world exploration in a horror theme looks too notch. This app addiction has gotta stop I tell ya! *** ....looks at all those unfinished games...and remembers there's even more that haven't even been downloaded.... **** And on a side note, I think it's a little odd that a game that gets a 69 average on Metacritic for the PC version suddenly gets a 8/10 on Pocketgamer for the iOS version. Is it because we expect less on iOS? Alright, I'll stop rambling. Probably is a decent game. dreadnok Well-Known Member Jun 8, 2011 4,157 7 38 I came here to kick ass and chew bubble gum I'm ou #10 dreadnok, Jul 11, 2013 Agreed I've been playing Lone Survivor on PC and now I'll add this to my collection when it hits US store Zeldaniac Well-Known Member Dec 22, 2012 207 0 0 #11 Zeldaniac, Jul 11, 2013 Just *sings* WAITIN'....waitin' on the price to change.... You can't compare the two. It's like saying you enjoy Dick and Jane or One Fish, Two Fish over Game of Thrones or Anna Karenina. Home is one of the most unique games out there, and for a dollar you are insane to not buy it. Pipipitchu Well-Known Member May 4, 2013 1,644 0 0 Civil Servant Rio de Janeiro, Brazil #20 Pipipitchu, Jul 11, 2013 I can't compare which is better because they are indeed completely different. But I know how much I like one and how much I liked the other, so I can compare which I liked better. Which pleased me more. I see no problem here. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
