Here is a video I made playing Minigore. I get a score of 26,008, putting me in 9th place on Open Feint. During the video I explain every tactic and trick I know so that anyone can reach over 20k points. Please buy Bee'z Nuts for 99 cents while you're at it. You will LOVE this game. Thanks a lot, and ENJOY! Randy
Minigore Episode 3 should patch most of the score exploits http://www.mountainsheep.net/minigore/JerryAndWormwolfGameplay01.avi You'll also get upgradable weapons so there's more depth in power up usage: http://www.mountainsheep.net/minigore/BetaTA/WeaponLeveling01.avi (That's all test version footage, not final so there's missing sound fx and missing assets.) -Timo
After a 20K+ game of Minigore, I like to relax with a nice game of iDrop Dead: Flower Edition. EDIT: both Geared and Bee'z Nuts are good too!
Lol yes it is but you've got a great and unique game too. Btw VERY nice vid. I'm gonna try to beat my highscore now. Did anyone notice how when furries got really close to him, he kinda swiveled the gun back in forth? I found its much more useful than just shooting in a straight line.
yup, and to get a really quick swivel I don't move my thumb, I just kinda rock it....or move the thumb bone without actually sliding the skin I knew a few ppl would be annoyed by the promotion, but it took me several hours to put the whole tutorial together. Plus learning how to get a High score took weeks hehehe. But no worries
Timo, how do you play the videos? I downloaded them and played it in quicktime but there was no image...
Pretty well done video. Bought your game, too. Mini-review of Bee'z Nuts: It's really a stretch to call it in any way similar to Minigore, but it's a fun enough game for the price. You're tilting the device to fly around a bee to burst colored bubbles before they reach the top of playfield. Fun: + Accessible, easy to pick up and responsive + Easy to understand game mechanic with open-ended challenge + There's an option to turn off the music Not fun: - The music really, really didn't work for me - Too much difficulty comes from not being able to see the balloons like in Minigore before radar was implemented Recommended for people looking for a casual time sink more comparable in feel to games like Must Eat Birds or Spore Origins. Perhaps a bit too much of the challenge right now comes from balloons appearing too fast from the edge of screen, meaning that you may already be at a velocity and position that makes it impossible for you to save the situation. Difficulty curve ramps up very fast so it's a good game for really short attention span sessions, but there's also a full save/restore of state like in Minigore 1.1. Must have normal color vision and be able to enjoy tilt based controls to play. Overall a good deal for $0.99, and since it's such a small game what you see is exactly what you get. If you have two dollars you should get both this and Minigore! Jouni of Mountain Sheep / Minigore team
Thanks a lot for the feedback Jouni. We totally agree on the point about the radar and will definately put that into the next update. (that is the one after the one that is already submitted to apple. Sorry you didn't like the music hehe. Luckily you can listen to your ipod while the game is open.
