Browsing for upcoming rogues I came across this and it looks yummy. http://www.kitfoxgames.com/shattered-planet/ Note:Screw xmas bring on January.
Your note is screwed up. 1. Why would you want to make the release farther away 2. It's called Christmas, not "xmas"
He is not the developer and he doesn't want the release date to be further away. He is just simply stating he cannot wait for the game, which is already scheduled to release in January or Early next year. Xmas is a very common abbreviation of Christmas.
I thought it was pretty obvious I meant the game couldn't come out soon enough and I'd skip Xmas if it meant it would. And more info: Description A survival adventure on a dangerous world, searching for the cure for an all-devouring darkness. A world lies broken after an ancient war, yet a faint signal comes from deep within the core, promising relief from the Blight disease. The Galactic Union has sent their top scientist to investigate — and he sends you! Shattered Planet is a free-to-play survival-exploration RPG for tablet and PC, set in a futurist world. The game is a classic turn-based, randomised RPG, with endlessly generated content and dozens of differently powerful items to find. We pair the regular sense of progression from modern randomised games like Rogue Legacy or FTL with the more traditionally intricate challenges of games like Rogue and Nethack. The art style has been compared to the award-winning Bastion, but the gameplay is more thoughtful and strategic, requiring planning sometimes dozens of turns in advance. You will die, but don’t worry! Endless clones will replicate your molecules perfectly. Good as new. Procedurally generated maps — every planet is different! Dozens of items with crazy powers, from teleporters to samurai swords to orbital strikes. Hundreds of interactive fiction-style mini-narratives let you customise your story and role-play your character. Ridiculous yet accurate obituaries. In what other game could you say, “Here lies kleptomaniac Captain Sofia, vassal of the worm people.”?
Hey guys, lead dev for Shattered Planet here. If anyone has any questions or suggestions or anything let me know! To MikeNintendo, who wanted more screenshots -- you mean more than are on the website right now? Or do you want me to post more here? We also got this preview yesterday: http://die4games.com/indie-spotlight-shattered-planet Also, don't kill me, but we've delayed it until February.... :s
Looks like it might be cool. Not sure about the free to play part though, we'll see how that goes. Also it seems it won't be available on iPhones, just tablets and PC.
