If you could have only 5 games on your device

Hypothetically, you only have space for five games on your device, regardless of size. You were about to embark on an adventure into a brave new world. A world without computers and device synchronization. You Sync your device one last time, and load up the five games that are going to carry you through for the next eternity. What would they be?

Keep in mind, this is not a 'top 5 games' thread. I imagine we all have different games for different moods and playing environment. I'll play some arcade games when I'm feeling like a challenge, and I want to topple my high-score, but perhaps I'm feeling a little weary and want a slow paced puzzler to carry me off to sleep in.

Please include some reasoning with your list. As there are only going to be five items on your list, I think it is very reasonable that you attach a substantial explanation for each.

    1. Chinatown Wars: it's so huge and the possibilities are endless
    2. N.O.V.A 2: Nothing pumps me up like a good MP session of N.O.V.A 2
    3. League of Evil: The best iOS platformers I've ever played
    4. Cut the rope: I need to feed my cutesy addiction while I'm on an expedition
    5. Baseball Superstars 2010 HD: what, I need some variety.

You would want stuff with lasting gameplay:

Sword of Fargoal Legends (dungeon crawl)
You can play this over and over and its never the same.
Runners up, Nethack HD : Rogue Touch

    Dark Nova HD (space/trading)
    Random galaxy, tons of replayability
Runners up, Ascendancy : Star Rangers : Warpgate HD

    Slay (stragety)
There are hundreds of levels, great strategy game.
Runners up, Wesnoth HD : Carcasonne : tChess Pro

    Harbor Master HD (line draw)

    5 maps, tons of replayability
    Runner up, Flight Control HD

    Gravity Hook HD (endless climber)
Its HARD, and I really like it. Try over and over to get higher.
Runners up, Canabalt : Doodle Jump

If we cant sync and there are no other computers, your gonna have to be happy with your choices for a LONG time. No multiplayer, and you better not pick something that has an ending. I might throw out one of the above for either Tetris HD or a good klondike solitaire with Vegas rules, but those 5 would be my first choice.

    1) Tilt to live - Endless fun with this guy .
    2) Helsing's Fire - The best puzzler on the iOS IMO . Especially fun when played on hardest difficulty .
    3) Space miner - This dual stick shooter is in it's own league . Not even AoZ can compare to this .
    4) Battle for Wesnoth - The longest game I've ever played and because it's turn based , I prefer it over RTS .
    5) Papa Sangre - Up for some night time scare anyone ?

Since there are no computers, then there can't be wi-fi...

    1. Plants vs. Zombies (the BEST tower defense on the app store. With survival mode update, of course.)
    2. Doodle Jump (I could play this for hours, there is endless replay value.)
    3. Commodore 64 with all games bought (A blast grom the past that provides one with a retro fix, plus contains 30+ games.)
    4. Monopoly (The longest board game ever, plus I can play it with anyone else with me.)
    5. Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus (my guilty Pleasure. I need an FPS to survive.)

1: Marple - 1,000,000 puzzles is enough to last many lifetimes. Or if you are an avid puzzler like me, your own lifetime.
    2. Doodle Jump - for the quick fix
    3. Drop7 - a longer fix
    4. Tap Tap Revenge - with all the premium song packs etc. Will spend my life beating expert mode.
    5. Lux/Risk - boardgame that is different everytime you play it

Oooooh. I like these type of threads!

Well, I'd go with 5 games that aren't very similar with lots of replay value, and are my favorites. :D

GTA: Chinatown Wars (Can't get tired of stealing cars)
Modern Combat 2 (Best FPS hands down)
NBA Jam (gotta have a sports game)
Puzzle Agent (My favorite puzzle game EVER!)
and this should be on everybodies list:
    Mission Europa (nuff said)

1)Solitaire Pro-endless challenging card games would keep me entertained. 2)Ricochet Rampage-endless strategy and replay ability-'one more time' aspect. 3)Pottery HD-Arts & Crafts angle I would need. 4)Flick Kick Football-To scratch the sports itch-infinite replay ability. 5)tChess-For mental stimulation.

I have heaps of unplayed games too... so I created a "Playing now" folder and a "play next" folder, to make me focus on fewer games at a time...
