What are you guys considering to be on your GOTY list so far? There have been some great releases thus far, and it just keeps getting better. What are your guys' personal favorites?
The 10 best games so far are: 1.Perchang. 2.Love You To Bits. 3.Duck Roll. 4.Puzzlepops. 5.Warp Shift. 6.Telepaint. 7.Blicke. 8.Mekorama. 9.Loop Mania. 10.Snakebirds.
Throwing Crashlands and Lost Socks in the mix. And very soon (hopefully) Death Road to Canada. I played a bit on PC and it is too much fun.
Already got mine in my sig! Crashlands, FFIX, Lost Socks, Tennis Champs Returns, Sky Force Reloaded and Teeny Titans. Been a good seven months or so, though. Guild of Dungeoneering is great, and I also really liked Super Phantom Cat. Warbits, Ys II and Romancing Saga are still on my to-do list. Oh, and King Rabbit.
Crypt of the NecroDancer Teeny Titans and Leap Day come close (the latter due to how I keep coming back to it day after day AND all Nitrome has and continues to put into it), but NecroDancer is so far and beyond everything else this year. Oh, and hands-down, multiplayer at its finest. Exploding Kittens will remain on my iDevice forever next to Disc Drivin'.
1) Rush Rally 2 and Tennis Champs Returns 3) Crypt of the NecroDancer Assoluto Racing is very promising, too.
COTN is amazing. Also, Exploding Kittens gave me some of the most memorable experiences of this year lol, bought both forms of the board game along with the app and all iaps. They're both REALLY great.
My favorites: Snakebird - My current obsession. I feel like getting on my soapbox about this one, because people need to try it. Crashlands - Just tons of fun. It was not genre-defining or anything, especially if you'd recently played Don't Starve. But Crashlands took the most purely entertaining bits from its influences, refined and concentrated those elements, skimmed off what wasn't fun, and added huge amounts of personality, humor, and charm. King Rabbit - Excellent. Great synergy of art style, action, and puzzle design. Counting against it: It was just an iterative sequel to Furdemption. Battle of Polytopia (formerly Super Tribes) - Did a phenomenal job of turning the 4X genre into a perfect fit for mobile. That's no easy task. But this is cute and quick and accessible, and I'm still picking it up again month after month. That said, it does owe a major debt to Civilization. I'm looking forward to Death Road to Canada. I will instabuy The Banner Saga 2, because I adored the first. Prevail and Card Thief are also looming large on my radar. And apparently I need to get Necrodancer.
This year... Pathfinder adventures. Maybe twilight struggle if I just had a bit more time to get my head around it. As you can see, I'm a card/board/strategy enthuse. Ortus regni, Cthulhu realms, and Warhammer regicide are on my "I'll get around to it" list from this year. Have got necrodancer, and can see the appeal of that. I like what I've played so far, it just comes down to a time issue. It's a great little game for sure. But definately pathfinder adventures for me. A very well done game, with endless replayability if cards, strategy, synergies and "dungeoneering" (another one I have an eye on) are your kind of thing.
I thought about it. Great game. I think it's the best hack-n-slash RPG on the AppStore. The fact that it's a straight port of a fairly old PC game kind of holds it back for me.
So far... =oP Imbroglio Super Phantom Cat Crypt of the NecroDancer Crashlands Space Grunts 9th Dawn II I Keep Having This Dream Heroes Of Loot 2 Severed Battlefleet Gothic: Leviathan But Imbroglio is the top contender for the #1 spot... I can not get enough of that game.
True it is a port but it is unbelievably addictive and by far the best random loot game on the appstore
