Ember is excellent. Hearthstone Legend of Grimrock XCom Trese Brothers: Heroes of Steel or Templar Arcane Quest 3
If you could help me that would be awesome on Wednesday and this was last year I saw a post I'm pretty sure that it was in the new post that I saw like a pixel game that this girl tells the guy that he's the new hero and the girl turns into a dragon and the guy says that he's gotta save the princess if someone could tell me the name of that game I would gladly appreciate it or at least trying to figure it out
For RPGs, Teeny Titans is wonderful, and just got an update to expand the game. If you like that, Steven Universe: Attack the Light is by the same developer. You also can't really go wrong with any of the Square Enix games - The World Ends With You is my all-time favourite - but I'll throw Final Fantasy IX and Dragon Quest VIII out there as very strong candidates. If you don't want a port, there's Chaos Rings 3. Then you have Legend of Grimrock, Knights of the Old Republic or Avernum (iPad only) as western RPGs. For something a bit different, there is the amazing Sorcery series, parts 1-4, or Guild of Dungeoneering. For strategy/simulation, I suggest Warbits, which apparently resembles Advance Wars (never owned a Nintendo console); Planar Conquest, a fine 4X game; or Final Fantasy Tactics, which is a fantastic, deep game but slightly lazy port. For quick bursts of strategy, Michael Brough's roguelikes are unbeatable. 868-HACK is incredible, once you get to grips with it, and Imbroglio is apparently equally good.
Excellent - then I can heartily recommend the other half! Just remembered some more decent strategy/RPG games: Warhammer Quest was very good indeed, and Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch is by the same developer.
For a fullblown western RPG, just like ashmike I can highly recommend Ember: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?p=3914164 . Think Baldur's Gate on graphical steroids Arcane Quest 3 is pretty good too, but gets a tad repetitive. The Quest HD is also good, not to mention *huge*, as long as you don't mind old-school graphics. Avernum & Avadon series (part 3 coming soon) by Spiderweb are great old-school RPGs with fantastic settings. Also seconding Planar Conquest big time for 4x. I wrote a few guides for it, first game I ever poured so much work into. Legends of Callasia is a good fantasy strategy game, taking inspiration from the Risk boardgame. Warhammer Quest was a good fantasy tactics game, gets a recommendation as well from me. And last for now: for a very special and unique roleplaying experience, King of Dragon Pass. It really pulls you into a fantasy-Celtic world, and immerses you pretty deeply into being a clan chieftain.
