It was .99 down from 1.99. I was notified through appshopper but now showing 1.99 again. Hope it drops!
if it does, Oscura is a GREAT platformer. I've been contacted by the developers, who said they are working on more levels ATM (asked me if I would be interested in checking some stuff out... dunno what exactly they meant... but I'm pretty excited about it) though if you are in NO WAY interested in trying to get 4 stars in each of the levels, you'll probably be 'finished' with the game fairly quickly... but like Bean's Quest when it first came out - the production is awesome, controls well, and the real challenge is in getting the 4 stars for each level... which will give you loads of replay value. I've probably thrown about 5 hours into the game so far, and still have only 4-starred the first 4 levels... =oP **edit** and yes, I'm seeing it as $0.99 in the US store... Definitely a game you guys should check out for a buck!
Thanks synth. I read your review of it and I'll definitely pick it up now that it is 99 cents. Just picked up IB1 as well. Lol not sure why I waited so long.
And I'm very disappointed MTV published it. :/ Why the hell isn't this available in international stores?
Alright just started playing and the controls rock. Very smooth imo. Also the artwork and music is fantastic. Really loving it.
lol... well... you don't need to know now... but now... I'd take Shantae over this one ATM... but I'm a HUGE metroidvania fanatic... so... =oP I'm sure there's others that would say Oscura over Shantae... but... whatever... =oP
Obviously not an original concept, but very well executed. Controls are a perfect fit for touch screen devices. Good sales price, glad to have bought it. Extra levels will make this an even sweeter deal. I do enjoy this one a touch more than Shantae, but I'm usually one to prefer focused level design over open-endness. Visuals also are more refined, even if both styles are like night and day .
Sweet! Thinking about picking this one up. Couple questions: 1. How big are the levels? 2. How well are the controls? Are they virtual buttons or other-wise?
Oscura is now nominated for a Webby Award. If you like it you can cast your vote here: http://pv.webbyawards.com/nominees/mobile-apps/tablet-and-all-other-devices/games/oscura I hope this is not considered Spam, is it is than I apologize and please remove this post
App info is currently processing and/or the app is not yet fully available for sale on the US App Store.
Is this worth a buck? Are there moveable controls cause screenshots seem to make it seem that the controls will be too far apart on the ipad. Why does it say it is good for airplay mirroring? That kinda doesn't make sense. Why this weird udid stuff?
