Hi, (Please vote the name/names that you like) We're working on a classic platformer game. The main platform is iOS. This will publish for windows, MAC OS and android Devices too. We are designing levels now. We need help to choose the name for main character and the name of the game! I think it would be good to use the name of main character in game's name: example: Lucy's Adventures, Amy Dream Land, etc It is our first platformer and first serious game! so we stick to classic rules of platformer games, we added a few things though (double jump, a few new enemies, etc). the main way to kill is jump on enemies (like mario) The enemies have doll style. I think this style can help us choose a unique story and name. examples: 1. A devil change all animals to little doll devils, and we should help them and beat the big devil... 2. Ava (the girl) became a grown woman and leave his witch doll, so the witch doll want to revenge and change all animals to dolls that attack you ... etc It has 3 environment: grainfield (should change to jungle), Ice and Cave. each has 8 level 1 boss level and 1 bonus level. It has 9 enemies (some of them are exclusive for some environments) It has about 10 obstacles. and some mechanics like elevators, portal etc. The problem is that our mother language is not english, so we can't find out that is a name OK or not. This game looks like my Niece's favorite book series Dora. And Dora's Adventure. So I vote for Dora unless there are trademark issues.
Choose a name that is marketable and represents the game well. Same with the character name. Game Name: Ayga's Quest Character name: Ayga That' just a suggestion though...
If you have a story behind the game, choose the name match your game's story. My suggestion is Satome's Story
Satome's Story sounds boring though. You want to have the best, eye-catching title because you're competing against so many apps. Something that would hook you in and make you think about wanting to play it. I mean, Satome's Story would be good if the app icon was stunning and eye-catching.
Yep, I think you're right. The name just appear in my mind when I saw screen shots. Cause the girl look like asian girl, I'm not sure but this is my feeling, so I think Satome is suitable name. Just my suggestion. Hope Nemo can find right name for this game.
I like Mimi's Quest. Mimi is a cute name. And short too. Short is good. People remember it better. I dislike long names for games.
Anita is the only name I've heard of in your list. I would suggest including it in keywords if you went with something like Anita's Adventures, though that might currently only apply to some countries. Also, hopefully beginning with "A" won't be as important for much longer.
Yeah, these names are not common names in the US, Only one Anita maybe but I don't like it cause it is 3 syllables, so my vote is for none of them.
The backpack has no effect on game so I don't think it's a good name. In "A boy and his blob" forexample the main gameplay element is the blob but the backpack is not the main element in this game...
