well if this has any of the quality and polish of your previous game, Racer, than it will be a definite buy.
I'm not seeing anything that suggests it's actually related to those games... maybe the dev can shed some light.
Tatem Games was formed from old PC developers, not sure what the Carnivore series are, but I'm going to guess that they were a PC game series back in the day.

Hahaha im a die hard fan of older games carnivore was this old game released around 12 years ago i think it was my first video game i remember haha anyways, like a lot of series, as more sequels were created the frranchise became old and dwarfed by larger and bigger games untilthe final game was made around 2003 lol its kinda funny seeing u guys not know bout this game :] brings me back to the good old days....
oh and yes it is the developer info box says it's based on teh original series and i recognize the open world format in the trailer as that of the older carnivore games :]
It looks pretty complete to me based on the gameplay video, I suspect that they're just working out final bugs. Their site hasn't been update though, so it could've been abandoned. I hope not.
Really it's an awesome game, but as k loud said the frame-rate doesn't look very decent to me. I'm hopping it'll be different in the original game. I'd like to have a Dinosaur hunter on my 3GS.
I just emailed the developers asking about the status (we've already been in contact before, haven't heard from them for a month) so hopefully I'll have some news for what is going on soon.
