Having been reading up on the AFL Live 2005 I came across a company releasing a full AFL game on the PSP this year. I contacted them regarding any plans to release it on the iPhone and I got the reply of: 'Thanks for your email, yes we are looking at hopefully getting AFL to the iphone at some stage we hold the license, just hoping to find time to do it this year for next year, but we are very busy so we will do our best otherwise early next year?' Can't wait!
C'arn the mighty Cats! I wonder how it would sell? Obviously the market is pretty much exclusive to Australia.
Haha just have sook next time the Saints beat you in the grand final the market yeah would be Aus only but a full game for $10 would give them a big of coin for it. If they maybe worked with Firemint to publish it they may get buyers from other countries to try our game but it'll be up to them.
Yeah, if they could get every AFL fan with an iDevice to buy it then it would be quite a success. It would definitely need some strong marketing to let them know about it though. Although I imagine Apple would feature it in the App Store in Oz.
Sweet! I've been requesting Firemint to make an AFL, but they seem to be too busy to reply. Hopefully this is a full AFL game though, and not just one of those AFL-based mini-games game.
Sounds great, can't wait. Hopefully it'll be a full game, as the iDevice is more than capable. I'd happily pay $10 for it.
Haven't heard anything for a while. They were going into talks with the AFL about it, I'll try to find out more info
