It's funny because I have a Xbox 360, yet I spend most of my gaming time on my iPhone.

    For Gaming?

When I'm at home, I probably use my 360 a bit more,

But when I'm out, iPod Touch wins hands down.

Yes. It's the only thing I have. We've been a poor family for quite some time. But my father, knowing that I like music, bought me an iPod Touch. My family didn't want to buy any main gaming devices, because they figure we don't need it. But when games started coming out, I took advantage of the opportunity and started pimping it out with games I enjoy. I have a great collection so far, and I come to find that even when I play Xbox 360 or PS3, I still prefer handhelds more. I'm thinking of buying the PSP, but I'm not sure which model I should look into. Maybe PSP Go, but not yet sure which would be easier to buy. UMDs, or in file over PSN.

My PS3 broke a few days ago(probably from playing too much COD) so right now while its being repaired my iphone is number 1.

The iphone could easily be number 1 no matter what if there was more good multiplayer online games.

True. If the multiplayer games had more depth (a single-player campaign too would be nice ;)) and hey, just for kicks, 3G or Wi-Max and an incredibly battery, I wouldn't touch anything else.

yeah I have those....good games. But I'm talking really really good online multiplayer, I think its possible, but the developers haven't done it to its full potential yet on the iphone. When they do eventually, it may be lights out for the other systems.

    Well yes and no.

Yes because games are incredibly cheap. You can keep getting more and more and trying out new things. Spend $60 on Xbox, 1 game. $60 on iPod, like 20 :)

    No because.....Nazi Zombies :)

Livefire/Killtest looks like great online multiplayer if ngmoco can execute it right

As for the question, absolutley. My brother has a 360 and my little brother has a wii. I never play those. The reason being I can get so much variety of great games for a fraction of the cost of 1 console game or other handheld device game. Another plus is having the games wherever you go so you can pick your game up whenever. Don't get me wrong though I do like getting some headshots in halo every now and then

It definitely has for me. I travel a lot for work and I used to carry a DS and PSP. Now I have sold them both and just use my iPhone.

My iPhone is my phone, music player, email, GPS (Navigon app), book (Kindle and Stanza apps), alarm clock, address book.... how could a standalone game player compete?

I traded my 360 for a new iPod, it saw more action in a night then my 360 ever saw (besides netflix). I ripped myself off, but I don't regret it at all. My DS and Gamecube still see substantial amounts of gaming.
