Hey everyone - just thought I'd post a mini (alpha!) gameplay video of our next title, Spell Team Death Match. Music by the awesome BigNic of Zombies! for iOS fame. Below is a little more info :)

It's a 2D pixelated PvP game for iOS. Think multiplayer Super Crate Box meets Unreal Tournament 2D - with spelling! Collect letters to spell weapon upgrades while dodging bullets and grabbing powerups. Destroy your friends or take on the world (one at a time) via Game Center. There will be bouncing, jumping, grenades, lasers, explosions, flying, hipsters and flying hipsters. Spell Team Death Match: Spell words, kill friends.

Hopefully in the coming updates we can show you some more weapons and backgrounds. But for now, you will have make do with these :)

lol that looks cool. With multiplayer comes the issue of lag though. Have you tried it with 2 players from opposite sides of the globe? Foursaken Media's Bug Heroes 2 and Monster Adventure use Game Center and that wasn't that great of an experience (I got to play with TA's Eli while he was streaming and it was incredibly laggy)

Thanks for your comments. And also good question about the multiplayer. We are still testing at the moment so we will of course have to investigate a bunch of different scenarios. But definitely with two players in the same place there are no problems. When we originally thought of the idea we wanted it to be local multiplayer only, but we then realised that it would rely too much on people being in the same place to play. Although we are still hoping that plenty of people will play this game with friends in the same room so they can see their faces when they blow them away ;)
