One of the best retro games I've played this year, and even better than I could've hoped. I'll definitely be hoping control flexibility is added for iPad, especially since I plan on playing this one well into the future. Super tight, and feels great!
Just to be clear, you guys are changing the Control settings to ipad from the control setup menu, right?
LOVING this game, needs to get more love. I mean its ONLY 99c, its a nice small tight filesize. The graphics are retro and look great, the gameplay reminds you of a lot of classics from yesterday. Plays very well, really enjoying this, some great weapons, jumping/shooting, its like a cross between Megaman/Ghost n Goblins/Contra. Excellent game, reason 234234234 why i love iOS gaming, for just a buck (as you americans say!) i've got a brilliant little retro platformer, developers making games like this need to be supported, come on its JUST 1 dollar and its a great game.
You guys wanna support devs, stick 5 star reviews on the product page for them, they're more valuable than you might think, they really help drive sales. I'm currently stuck on the boss in the awesome crystal mines area, Stage 8 I think, it's like Dr. Crackman in some sort of elevator, going up and down firing lasers. Any tips?
Agree about the app store reviews, if people write a decent lengthy review those are the ones i tend to believe/convince me to get a game. If its a few words i just dismiss them as i think its friends of the dev as you tend to see that often and i've heard how many fake reviews you get.
this game is awesome iCade support will make it even better ipad controls aren't bad, but my thumb started aching a bit after 5 stages since i kept on mashing the fire button
Another vote for iCade controls, got a few friends waiting for icade compatibility as well before they get this
Version 1.1 is out! I updated the icon since people didn't like it, and more importantly, tweaked the ipad controls to push the fire button further to the right. Recommended at 99 cents, and obviously a must-get for free. Great game, solid controls, pretty much perfect.
Just spent some proper time with this today on a long journey and have to say, rather belatedly, it's a little beauty. Picked it up when Polyroll came out and just got to it properly just now. Controls are pretty tight on iPhone. iCade would be great on iPad but I may even jailbreak my old iPad1 to blutrol this one. Bl**dy great game and sorry I missed it first time round.
