Soma Games is coming out with a new space action game which we should see in the AppStore in the next couple of weeks. Here is something from their website: "G is an arcade game set in a futuristic Earth where the player builds and launches rockets to explore complex fields where obstacles, power-ups, and gravitational bodies interact with the rockets path. G means gravity, the primary functional elements in the game. By accounting for the pull provided by these bodies, the player can create looping rocket paths that bring a single rocket within radar range of multiple targets in a mission that earns extra points. The beautiful, artistic scenery, atmospheric music and stylized graphics lend and air of mystery to the game, and unique gaming features make G more interactive than other gravity simulators. Looks like an airship from one of the Final Fantasy titles. Not enough info to judge this yet, of course.
Yeah, I don't quite understand the concept, but I do know the game is VERY polished. I know the company that developed it, but am in no way affiliated with them from a professional standpoint. Here is there website: www.somagames.com This is the first part of a large series of game.
Looks amazing!! It's very polished and somehow reminds me of the latest Prince of Persia. There's nothing like this in the AppStore yet. Lots of feel good, lots of retro, lots of pirates and oldy worldy, but nothing in this style yet.
Hmmm...reminds me a lot of Space Deadbeef. I thought that game was really fun until like level 5 and then the game got really repetitive and challenging. The artwork in this game looks really nice, can't wait to see some videos and more screenshots.
Kind of hard to conceptualize, but it kind of sounds like some sort of strategy shooting/target game with a steampunk flavour.

Update on G Hello Touch Arcade, I'm glad we found this thread - though several weeks late. Don't know why our Google alert didn't pick it up... Anyway - the point is - G is now done and submitted to Apple as of last Friday. w00t! With any luck we'll push it live by April 19. I also thought I'd share a few screen shots from the final game. The shots at the top of this thread wound up superceeded by some comments from our beta phase.
My goodness, those screenshots are actual, in-game screenshots? If they are, I'm really impressed especially with the first one. The artwork and graphics are impeccable with a beautiful flashy design. Will be looking for this one in the App Store. Congratulations, making a game for an iPhone with these type of graphics is no small feat
