    EX: Experience Edition, 0.99$

This low priced EX version of "Across Age" is split into 2 parts. It allows you to fully play the first chapter of the game. If you enjoy the game you can directly unlock the full version with an in App purchase. Savegame progress will stay intact. This version requires OS 3.0 !

This is a great game. I bought it @ 6.99 when it first released. Just like I said in twitter, it is better to be a lite version. People will love this and they will buy it. 0.99 for them to try will stop some of the people.

    Thanks, rogerchiu!

Across Age is still $6.99. If you purchase EX, the in App purchase -Upgrade to full- will be $5.99.

I wish I had a teacher like her :) School would be much more enjoyable then ;)

Well, 0.99$ sounds like a great deal for the game polished that much. Going for it!

    Yes, I know.
I just meant as a separate tease, taste of the full version 0.99$ is a fair price.

I'm not sure if a paid lite version is a good idea. The Rolando 2 route seems much more reasonable to me.

Not that I'd get it anyway, ARPGs are overdone. Now if you were to make a turn-based RPG, that'd be a different story...

If I ever get this it'll be the full version, I totally hate paying for lite.

Yeah, I don't think I want to pay for a lite.

It's like asking people to taste food but we must pay for it. No thanks.

It´s not a lite version, it´s another full version release for the same price as the current full version - just this time the entrance fee is lower as we charge the big chunk later. It´s for people who are seriously interested in the game / on the fence. If not, you can still wait for a free lite version release (someday).

I personally didn't mean to be harsh with my comment, but, rephrase it all you want, the perception in people's minds won't change, you're charging for a lite. Maybe you're letting a big chunk of your game to be played, it will still feel like a lite with IAP because that wasn't your selling scheme from point 0.

And that's exactly what a lite version does, people that are in the fence get to try it before commiting. But, as it is with EX, you still need to commit to be able to fence it, just not so much, but the commitment, which is the reason games have a lite, is still there, so it still takes a leap of faith to try your game.

That´s exactly what I say. I also agree that in people´s minds its a paid lite.
Anyway: In our minds it´s a first step towards uncertain players who are interested.

But I though that was the part you were trying to reduce, specially in the appstore seeing that even .99 games have lites sometimes.

In our minds a lite version is a free, less-than-20MB download which links to the full version. Across Age EX is (in our minds) not a lite version, it´s the full version download, split into 2 parts. You could call part1 of it "paid lite"...but you will agree that it´s still better than spending $6.99 all at once.
