Not sure when its going to make you pay as I haven't hit anything yet but here are IAP for extra money and pets and things. Well it's good enough that I'm going to play on so ill see how it goes and report back after a couple of hours. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #5 Exact-Psience, Aug 17, 2013 ^Already sounds promising. Let us know what you think of it as you go farther. Thanks Oooooo! oooooomonkey Well-Known Member Jan 15, 2011 6,307 0 0 Forge World #6 oooooomonkey, Aug 17, 2013 Well I'm still playing and it hasn't asked for any money yet but the only thing I don't like is the constant reminder that your not playing a proper game (paid game) as you can see from the screen shot there's a constant thing in the top left hand corner of the screen asking you to buy more currency, now even if its not needed its still putting me off in a huge way, I don't like to be constanlty reminded that I'm playing a game that's just out to get more money and as good as the game plays and feels so far this is really off putting. The actual game though feels like a pretty solid Pokemon style game, one thing I did was change the options to turn off the battle wheel as it makes the battles much faster when you just have to click the move and not do the whole wheel mechanic. If you can ignore the always there reminder to buy more stuff from them then its looking cool, I'm still playing on for now but I wish that they hadn't put those buttons up there. Edit. The battles feel very Pokemon'ish and the quests are all your usual go kill this, go fetch that. The normal stuff Attached Files: image.jpg File size: 236.4 KB Views: 41 chaos_envoys Well-Known Member Jan 1, 2011 1,330 0 36 Medical Doctor Pokke Village, Indonesia #7 chaos_envoys, Aug 17, 2013 Is this online only? oooooomonkey Well-Known Member Jan 15, 2011 6,307 0 0 Forge World #8 oooooomonkey, Aug 17, 2013 Right my final answer, I can't play on any more, the game itself is cool and everything works really well but I hate the freemium model in games, now I haven't even hit the pay wall where it asks me to upgrade yet but the constant reminder to buy currency along the top of every screen is enough to stop me playing because it just feels like a freemium game (no matter how good the game is) Now this might just be me because like I said I didn't hit a paywall and the game is sound but the freemium'ness is there and in your face. Bottom line Good game ruined by the freemium feel. Capricornman Well-Known Member Dec 8, 2011 2,993 0 0 #9 Capricornman, Aug 17, 2013 Thanks oooooo for all your comments! When I close the pet page or lineup page, I expect to stay at my original spot, and not teleporting me back to some previous spots. I will not play until you fix this, this is so annoying as I need to re walk from places to places. SocialTitans Well-Known Member Jul 25, 2013 96 0 0 #11 SocialTitans, Aug 17, 2013 Hello! I'm the developer of Terra Monsters glad you guys have found it and are downloading it! Means a lot to us that people are downloading our game. Let me try and address the iap issues, oooomonkey. I understand where you're coming from, I do. There are a lot of games on the market that use the 'freemium' model aggressively, and it takes a lot out of the gameplay. I understand that the 'buy more' on the main screen may be a tad annoying, I didn't really think about that - I thought it would be small enough for it not to be intrusive. For us to be able to make a game like this and charge 99c for the full game, we have to include some ways for people to give us more money if they feel like it, otherwise we would have no chance of surviving. With the iaps in this game they're generally all 'cheat' items, items to speed up progress. This current version is offline so speeding your way through the game only effects the player and doesn't give an advantage over others. We really don't intend for it to feel like the iaps effect the gameplay on Terra Monsters, but if you disagree I'm willing to have a discussion to strike a better balance Also if anyone else has any other gameplay comments, suggestions etc I'm all ears! When you go to your ranch to rest your Terra Monsters, or change your line up you're transported back to the start of a field map, or the center of town. If you're just swapping your current line up or looking in your bag, or world store you are not travelling back to your ranch therefore you stay in the same spot you were. Think of the Ranch like a 'Pokemon center' (but you can do more stuff in it, and you get teleported to it and you can care for all your Terra Monsters from there and see all their stats etc) tso5818 Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2011 2,892 0 0 iANiMeX's left ear #13 tso5818, Aug 17, 2013 Just played for a bit and don't really like the touch to move thing. Wuld be cool to see a D-Pad in the future like next update. If that was added I would fall inlove with this game. Also will online mode be in this game? Where we see other players walking around? kenken11 Well-Known Member Sep 29, 2012 1,808 5 38 #14 kenken11, Aug 17, 2013 Hi dev, thanks for answering. Ok, then why am I keep dueling the same npc trainer that I previously defeated as after resting my pet, the same annoying trainer is still blocking the path. So this loop will keep go on and on until I consume some potions and stop resting my pet? demod1 Well-Known Member Oct 9, 2012 414 0 0 #15 demod1, Aug 17, 2013 The complaints in this forum are often completely absurd. If you like the game enough to play but you don't like the reminder up top pay the $.99 to play and be done with it. I don't understand why it's an expectation with the mobile gamers here to be able to play everything fully for free. It's a freaking dollar! SocialTitans Well-Known Member Jul 25, 2013 96 0 0 #16 SocialTitans, Aug 17, 2013 I think adding an option of a d pad is something we can do for an update. It is our ambition to add in online capabilities to this game, like we had on the web version. But those ambitions are reliant on the success we achieve with the game! But it is something we would absolutely love to implement. Some, not all NPC battles are repeatable, so every time the map reloads the battle will be playable again. We implemented this so that there is always a trainer to battle your Terra Monsters against (Trainer battles give a lot more exp than wild battles) The repeatable battles is a core part of how the tournaments work later on in the game. Where you need to win 4 consecutive battles in a row without returning to your ranch! tso5818 Well-Known Member Sep 13, 2011 2,892 0 0 iANiMeX's left ear #17 tso5818, Aug 17, 2013 Yea, hope you get some success from this game.
