I remember this as a push for anti-bullying campaign or something. It's a great platformer. Totally recommended for free. Easy recommendation. Habakuk Well-Known Member Dec 11, 2008 4,779 9 38 Vienna, Austria http://rossau.wordpress.com #9 Habakuk, Jan 5, 2013 ^ Nope. But it looks and plays good on iPad in x2 mode. Strange. I "bought" that game for free before. But the other (old) version doesn't exist any more: http://toucharcade.com/2011/12/05/freebie-alert-the-adventures-of-timmy-run-kitty-run/ Anyway: Recommended! Coldar Well-Known Member Dec 26, 2008 2,458 5 38 Upstate NY/USA #10 Coldar, Jan 5, 2013 This is one of the handful of platformer games I actually like to go back to. Challenges me but not in a kind of infuriating way like some others. Maybe because its themed with little Timmy running around in a cat suit. Anyway, really good game, worth the play. Drummerboycroy Well-Known Member Apr 2, 2012 4,172 0 36 Clinician Maine! #11 Drummerboycroy, Jan 5, 2013 This isn't the same version? Regardless, agreed. Easily recommended! The old build was pulled, and this was rereleased. I realized that the older one was pulled when I was doing TAS's review rewind, and was going to repost our review this one, but it wasn't available anymore. I emailed the Devs, but didn't get a response... =o/ So even if you bought it before, you might want to pick this version up just in case it ever gets updated... Gunlock Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2010 472 0 16 #13 Gunlock, Jan 5, 2013 The title of the new version is switched Run, Kitty, Run: The Adventures of Timmy (by Iddiction). The old version was The Adventures of Timmy: Run, Kitty, Run (by CB Labs). Seems like the game was re-released. Anyway, this is a must have game for any platformer fan. Brilliant game with great atmosphere and fantastic level design. It looks great with butter smooth animations (3GS here), and the sound is a class of its own (headphones recommended). No problems with controls. One of the few iOS platformers I finished twice. Great game all the way. Drummerboycroy Well-Known Member Apr 2, 2012 4,172 0 36 Clinician Maine! #14 Drummerboycroy, Jan 5, 2013 Yep, it's true. I now have 2 RKR icons on my phone (yes, I never took the other off)... Thanks for the heads-up! This game went basically unnoticed by everyone. I'm actually surprised that it's being re-released... I didn't think it even warranted that from the insanely number of low copies sold the first time. Really hope it gets some much needed attention this time around. Like Gunlock, I've played through and completed this game more than just a few times - and that's pretty rare for me and a platformer on the iOS. There's only a handful of titles that fall into that category for me, personally. So yeah... if you haven't yet - pick this one up. It's a great game. =oD Habakuk Well-Known Member Dec 11, 2008 4,779 9 38 Vienna, Austria http://rossau.wordpress.com #16 Habakuk, Jan 5, 2013 Thanks for your interesting information, Gunlock! +1. Adequate for platformer beginners as well. Both control methods are working accurately. Very well balanced difficulty. And even the profs love Run Kitty Run. The slightly blurred graphics (compared to hightech last-gen games) on Retina-iPads in x2 doublepixelmode fit perfectly to the artwork. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #17 nightc1, Jan 5, 2013 I locked in a license on this when it went free... but with all the love for the game here I went ahead and downloaded the game and played through most of world 1. It's a solid game and already the complexity in level design is showing. I think I'm going to power through this game tonight. So far in my limited experience this is one of the best platformers on ios. nightc1 Well-Known Member Oct 19, 2012 4,362 0 0 AL #18 nightc1, Jan 7, 2013 Sad to see someone hacked the highscore chart. I wish people could be banned from GC syntheticvoid Well-Known Member Jun 20, 2010 14,504 124 63 Musician & factory worker. a[V-O-I-D] http://apparentsymmetry.bandcamp.com #19 syntheticvoid, Jan 7, 2013 You can report them... but unfortunately, it looks like that doesn't do anything but waste your time. I, too, wish Apple had a team they could have supervise their GC boards, and take care of reports exclusively. Connector Well-Known Member May 6, 2012 15,512 1 0 In the Chatroom http://thechatroom.freeforums.net/ #20 Connector, Jan 7, 2013 While the game itself looks very good, the 2x graphics and awkward controls on the ipad make this game tough to play for me. I really wish this was universal with good ipad controls. The 2x graphics don't bother me too much cause I can play on my tv, but the controls are way too far in and far apart on the ipad. I can't stand awkward placements in platform games, in fact, I wish all developers would make moveable controls in platformers like in wimp and mikey shorts.
