I'll give this a try. MasonHurst Well-Known Member Jan 9, 2013 429 0 0 #3 MasonHurst, Oct 15, 2014 This is a fun little game. I like its simplicity and the character moves quick enough to handle the chaos that builds up. I just wish the four direction d pad was larger on the iPad. It's easy to slip off it as things heat up. TheColorGray Active Member Jul 6, 2013 31 0 0 #4 TheColorGray, Oct 16, 2014 Thanks for posting this, Lavender. Good point, Mason. I'm actually working on an update right now that should be available in roughly a week. It will have Game Center features as well as much cleaner UI and control scaling. Thanks for the support! MasonHurst Well-Known Member Jan 9, 2013 429 0 0 #5 MasonHurst, Oct 17, 2014 Hey that would be awesome if we could resize the d-pad to fit our tastes. Looking forward to it! The game just needs some exposure. Out of all of the games I've dl'ed lately I keep coming back to your for multiple quick games. It really has the "one more time" sensation that most games miss. Real nice character art too... looks like you put some real care into it. Of course since it instantly restarts I feel like I MUST play one more. Very clever on your part ;-) Even when I was fumbling around looking for a settings screen to see about the music level and controls it just kept throwing me back into the game. Was that your sinister plan from the start? lol TheColorGray Active Member Jul 6, 2013 31 0 0 #6 TheColorGray, Oct 17, 2014 Haha, really appreciate the kind words, Mason. It was the first game I ever coded myself after quitting my job as a designer at a bigger studio. It meant a lot to me but it's full of mistakes and things I'd love to change. Definitely should add at least an option to mute the audio so you can listen to your own tunes while you play. Something I often do in other games but didn't include in the initial launch, thanks for mentioning it! Also, I've been hard at work on a new game that comes out early next week. It's called Swap Heroes, you can check it out here if you like: www.savorygames.com/SwapHeroes/ It's a huge step forward for me as a developer. Really hope you agree, though it's a big departure from the gameplay of Bombs. Appreciate the support! Chris unlimitedfury Well-Known Member Jan 25, 2014 55 0 0 #7 unlimitedfury, Oct 17, 2014 Awesome game! Were you inspired by Secret of Mana and/or Chrono Trigger? The music and character art seem like a perfect match of both. MasonHurst Well-Known Member Jan 9, 2013 429 0 0 #8 MasonHurst, Oct 18, 2014 Chris I'll be sure to go check it out. Your work deserves support. There's some real quality behind it, Also one thing I hope you -won't- change with this title is the quick way you get right back into the gameplay after you lose. With too many titles you are forced to make two or three clicks in different areas of the screen just to get back to the action. With your game a simple tap anywhere throws you right back into the action again. Such a simple thing but something a lot of games fail at. So as much as I'm looking forward to a settings screen I hope it doesn't slow down the pace of replaying the game... if that makes any sense ;-) Initial D Well-Known Member Apr 22, 2012 65 0 6 #9 Initial D, Oct 18, 2014 Agreed that this is a fun game! Needs more exposure. Looking forward to the updates! MasonHurst Well-Known Member Jan 9, 2013 429 0 0 #10 MasonHurst, Oct 19, 2014 That Swap Heroes trailer looks great. I'll be buying it next week... considering I got your last game for free it's the least I can do. Hope TA gives it a review to get some eyeballs on it. Am looking forward to the bigger arrows and scaling issues being sorted out, but it's still fun as it is. Thanks! It's one of those games of perfect, void-filling simplicity, which feels like it's always been around, even though it's very much new and its own animal. belopolskya Member Oct 1, 2014 18 0 0 #12 belopolskya, Oct 20, 2014 I wasn't expecting much but "wow"... it is a lot more fun than i first thought. In fact, it's my favorite game right now. Can't wait to play your next game (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
