Akane the Kunoichi Another game supporting iCade is Akane the Kunoichi, a platform game from Haruneko
Dynamite Jack Hey there, my latest game "Dynamite Jack" is iCade compatible and works in BOTH portrait and landscape mode (though, of course, I prefer it in portrait when playing on the iCade!) "Dynamite Jack must blast his way to freedom! Jack, a brave space marine, armed with only bombs and a flashlight, must escape the Anathema Mines! Use stealth to sneak past guards and bombs to obliterate enemies in this intense top-down action-adventure." Here's a video clip of me playing on my iCade. touchArcade gave it 4.5 stars! Here's the App Store link. I hope you enjoy it!! -Phil
FYI, ALL Atari “greatest hits” seem to be free for a VERY short time, as long as you don’t later delete and re-install the game: http://toucharcade.com/2012/06/28/full-catalog-of-games-in-ataris-greatest-hits-app-free-for-a-limited-time/ (Must update your app to the latest version first.) Awesome! The game sounded good already—now even better!
Zombie meatballs HD Updated, compatible with iCade and HD graphics for the new iPad Gameplay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O93RcDe7GTI App Store: http://itunes.apple.com/es/app/zombiemeatballshd/id532537042?mt=8
Thanks, mrkoala! Also, Jeff Minters new Super Ox Wars supports iCade, naturally: http://fr.twitter.com/llamasoft_ox/status/216565265092182016
Thanks for letting me know about Zombie Meatballs, really like that game Well i'm tempted to get the icade mobile... http://www.firebox.com/product/5150/iCade-Mobile?via=sfg Not a bad price, obviously all the iCade games will work, think for iMame (if you were lucky enough to get that before it disappeared) it'll be worth it. Very tempting
The excellent iPad implementation of the classic "VR" tank game Spectre just got an update that includes iCade support. (it just occurred to me that it looks suspicious to make a post advocating a certain game as my first post having registered. I swear that I am not in any way affiliated with the game - just a fan from the good ole days.)
I asked Atari customer service about Icade plans for Centipede Origins. This was their response: Greetings! Thank you for contacting us. We are currently working on this, further updates will be posted directly at our app forums. Vectrex Here is a blog article about a forthcoming Vectrex emulator. Yes it will have iCade support. http://blog.retrogamer.net/general/vectrexing-on-your-ipad-with-vectrex-regeneration/
Retro Consoles Nice to see retro games coming, love to see a Coleco Vision version on the app store, with high score saving.
Any iCade owners want to check out Dynamite Jack? Tell me what you think! (codes all used!) Cheers! -Phil
I used code 7AP and will report back re Dynamite Jack once I've tried it! Thanks. (I didn't try the first code; all the others are taken.) EDIT: Very nice iCade support--thanks for making that effort! The menus can all be navigated by joystick, and I really like that you can customize the iCade button assignments. Player movement with iCade feels fine too. (I'll post more general game feedback in the game's thread once I have time to dig into it more deeply, but it's fun so far!)
