    Jeez, already?!

It sounds a lot like an MMO, but... doesn't. Sorta like an iMob-type game.

"February 3, 2010 - The pixels are barely dry on Assassin's Creed II Discovery and Ubi is already announcing Ezio's next adventure for the iPhone. Well, maybe not Ezio specifically, but Multiplayer is definitely set in Ezio's timeline, as four assassins rush through three different Renaissance metros to kill each other, using 6+ different weapons from the brotherhood's arsenal.

Of course, killing is one ten-percent of an assassin's gig. The rest is artful stealth and smart escapes. You must use crowds in these cities to vanish after completing a kill, lest you be descended on by other players or perhaps even the local garrison. Blending with crowds will also help you get closer to your targets. You also need to use the buildings around you for cover as you carefully track and slay your rivals.

Ubi crows that Multiplayer is a real-time online game, however it doesn't work without online. Multiplayer is Wi-Fi only, so you'll either have to play it at home or near a hotspot when out and about. As you kill friends and neighbors online, you bank notoriety. The more notorious you become, the higher you rise in the global rankings, and the more people will try to assassinate you.

Do the first details of this iPhone game hint at how the upcoming Assassin's Creed II multiplayer game will unfold on consoles? Ubi says that Assassin's Creed II: Multiplayer is exclusive to iPhone, meaning it is not a port from a DS game (like Discovery), but the basic mechanics sound like they could applied to the planned Creed multiplayer game Ubi recently revealed. Expect Multiplayer to slip into the App Store very soon and look for more details on this new game in the near future on IGN."

Hmmm.... I don't know. It sounds interesting, but it might not be as good as it sounds. We'll just have to wait and see.
