I might give it a try... but judging from that video in the first comment the interface doesn't seem so good.. :/

Thank you all for your feedback! An update will be released within a day or two, which will allow Eve to draft text messages and emails. We also want to clearly show where the answer comes from, from the knowledge base or from our robot.

An update for the iPad is also coming, making full use of the iPad's functionality. That update may take a while longer though.

Thanks for your support so far!

When will the iPad app be released? I see its only listed for iPhone right now and getting some bad reviews!

The iPad version is planned for release this week. But then Apple will have to approve it, which usually takes another week.

There is definitely a mixed reaction to the app, and we are working hard to improve it further. We need to strike a good balance between Eve being informative and being fun. It's kind of hard to be both, though..

Thank you all for your feedback so far, best wishes for 2012, we aim to make it a great year!

The first update has been submitted last week, and is expected to be approved within a few days.

This update improves the speed, reliability and voice recognition of the app. It also adds options where you can select whether you want to allow 'chat' responses or just factual data. It is also possible to remove the history now.

The next update is already in the works, which adds iPad support, voice email and messaging, and gives Eve the ability to learn topics.

We are adding functions based on the feedback we received. If you have any particular requests, please let me know.

The first update has been approved by Apple and is available in the app store now.
We will submit the next update this week, enabling Eve to take your emails and messages, and to learn from your conversation.

The second update has been submitted to Apple. This update allows 'Eve' to learn from your conversation. This actually results in interesting talks. It remembers your name and any details you tell her.
The update also fixes a few stability issues and it adds a settings screen within the app, allowing you to turn 'Eve' off if you only want actual facts.
We have included an initial messaging function, but this is still really a beta, we will include far more functionality in our next update. And yes, this will then be a universal app, the iPad version will then be included in the package.

    Looks ok.

This app looks ok but an easyer way of clearing the history would help.. When is the update due?

The second update has been approved by Apple and is the store since yesterday. There is a settings screen within the app now, allowing for easier deletion of earlier conversation, and the ability to put the chatbot on or off.
If you want to have a fun conversation, leave the chatbot on. The new ability for Eve to remember details about you can result in interesting discussions!

    OH NOES!
That would mean she could tell my fiancee all those naughty things I asked her!

Fun aside, great working app and looking forward to further improvements. She even understands my Genglish (German/English) most of the time. :)
I just hope E.V.E. is doing well (in the AppStore).

    Ask her about her creators!

    Vovin,

Thanks. We aim to improve it constantly, but of late Apple has been slower than usual in approving updates and new apps. We hope to be able to introduce new features as soon as possible.

Update: unfortunately Apple has rejected our latest update, with the comment that the app was now confusingly similar to Siri. We are checking what can be done and which type of updates and improvements will still be acceptable.

We are still in discussion with Apple about the update of Voice Ask. Apple rejected any further enhancements to the app, as well as an iPad version. We do not believe that our app is so similar to Siri that it should be rejected, and will continue to try to get updates accepted.

We hope to have a Voice Ask update release soon, as soon as Apple gives us the green light. Meanwhile the sister app of 'Voice Ask', called 'Voice Answer' is at this moment in review by Apple. We are hoping Apple considers it different enough from Siri to accept it in the app store.
