I somewhat agree with you about Dexter, but when the villain is good it is GOOd. He is amazing on his own though. For ex. the first season was my favorite, and the villain there was great and had a good twist, so therefore, good season. Season 2 was good but not as good, season 3 was okay, but season 4 with John Lithgow was almost at season 1 levels of awesome.

The best stuff these days is on premium. I don't own any premium channels. Cable and Network have gone to crap. Especially Network. Reality Television has ruined T.V. Currently there is not a single scripted T.V. show that I watch. If I had Showtime or HBO, perhaps it would be different.

I wish I could agree with you about Fringe because most of season 3 was incredible. The backend of season 3 on the otherhand was some of the worst writing I've ever seen. Everything from the soul magnet storyline on is a convoluted mess of disappointment, anti-climatic explanations and bad storytelling. The doomday machine, Sam Weiess and first people revilations were beyond disapointing while other plot points such as Peter's shapeshifter killing spree and the guy from Olivia's LSD dream were simply ignored. The last five minutes of the fanale were so bad I don't know if I'm coming back for season 4.

Yeah, I agree on most of those points as well, I'm just hoping they can get back to the incredible writing that they have put out before in season 4.

I can't speak for the rest of you, but that's how I became the Fresh Price of Bel-Air.

My pick is The Wire. There's literally NO other show that can compete with the level of characterization and intricate plotlines.

The Fresh Prince of Bel Air is amazing. It's hard to find a sitcom where the characters are extremely and genuinely likable, and the laughter from the studio audience is genuine.

plus it had some tough moments too which I feel any sitcom has to have. Its mostly laughs but sometimes there has to be serious emotions. It shows with scrubs when the two best episodes are the two saddest. And fresh prince had them. The worst was wills reaction to his dad leaving.

also on a sidenote does anyone know somewhere I could watch batman the animated series?? I would love to go back and rewatch it but my usual sites dont have it.
