Dont overthink it... get it. TheFrost Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2010 5,772 0 0 #3 TheFrost, May 9, 2014 I never got it, played the lite but never clicked, maybe now its the time? I also second Frost's comment in that I didn't gel with it the first time I played but for some reason it clicked for me after hearing all the praise and giving it a second go. Definitely one of the best freebies I've seen in my time. nkarafo Well-Known Member Mar 2, 2011 860 9 18 #5 nkarafo, May 9, 2014 From what I understand from the videos, the control is not very good. This game need a d-pad or a joystick or a physical controller. Rayman jungle run and fiesta run are very easy to control and are platform runners as well but with no so action like in Ronin. Echoen Well-Known Member May 16, 2012 2,114 3 38 USA #6 Echoen, May 9, 2014 I watched the PG video and the controls have been modified for the better. He did say the game, at the time, needed a bit more polish. It's definitely gotten that over the past months. Works beautifully IMO. TheFrost Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2010 5,772 0 0 #7 TheFrost, May 9, 2014 I am definitely giving it a second chance now. Geertyy Well-Known Member Apr 15, 2013 283 0 0 #8 Geertyy, May 9, 2014 It's good good runner. Nice freebie! slamraman Well-Known Member Patreon Gold Aug 27, 2011 2,511 5 36 #9 slamraman, May 9, 2014 My all time favourite runner. Loved it even before the update. Keep on ronin. TheFrost Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2010 5,772 0 0 #10 TheFrost, May 10, 2014 I like it now a lot more than before. I think it has to do with that at the time I had so many endless runners and didnt give it the proper attention, or maybe that game did improve a ton since I played the lite version, or mabye the lite version doesnt have the the awesomeness as the paid version. I dont know, but I really like it and I regret getting it for free. Since the game doesnt have any IAP I dont see any way of giving it back. So the next game=Instant buy. So much good in one game. Definitely one of the better runners though. TheFrost Well-Known Member Nov 18, 2010 5,772 0 0 #13 TheFrost, May 13, 2014 After giving it some serious testing, I also find it monotonous. I did like it more before, when you got missions outside of the house. You could find them randomly and that alone added a bigger sense of variety, a quality it lacks. Its always the same missions over and over: collect jars, evade corrupter ki, ... There are plenty of better endless runners out there. Exact-Psience Well-Known Member Jan 12, 2012 22,664 2 38 The Work-At-Home Guy Philippines #14 Exact-Psience, May 13, 2014 To be honest i think you're right. It's not because the game is bad, but because there are other significant titles that have surpassed it in the genre. Back in its day, twas just Ronin, Polara, Punch Quest and God of Blades that were always brought up when it comes to side scrolling runners. What's surprising is that the definition of "back in its day" isnt even too far back because of how fast the iOS market flies by. That said, i still wont dismiss Ronin as one of the better side scrolling runners. It's still great at what it offers compared to most in the market. Slayin, Worn Run and more still are fresh today, but that one... not so much. The definition kinda blurs with me on this one and I see it as more platformer but yes, it is still a runner at heart with a lot of exploration! (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
