Hi everyone, I have just gotten feedback on my new game title, Monster Breakout: The feedback was as follows: Sounds like a classic "Breakout" game (which it is far from a "breakout" game) its an escape game. And the logo with the OUT looks strange. Any name suggestions would be great! This is the first few lines of the descriptions: "Warning! Little Monster has been kidnapped...and is being dragged back to Dr Evil's lab. There's only one thing to do...escape! Help the cheeky little monster dodge past the evil robot guards, navigate the challenging levels, collect the golden stars, and get the heck out of there!" Ive posted here as want some feedback from developers http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=121345
How about using the word "creep"? The different meanings make it fun to use... creeping and creepy, for example. And both creepy and creeping would be appropriate. I also wouldn't use "monster" in the first place, I would leave the game's title open for suggestions, something like: "Creeping Horror". Different meanings, but all would fit the game.
Ok thanks for your suggestions! I have written them all down. One new one I came up with was: Sneaky Monster As it gives the impression of Sneaking and having to dodge past the guards. What do you think?
Sneaky Little Monster is ideal if your going for cute graphics. My two cents. Dr Evil's Lab Escape the Lab Sneaky Sneaky Monster Critter's Great Escape
Off topic... Dr. Evil is the name of the villain in the Austin Powers movies. You might want to go with a different name.
"Get the the heck out of there!" Monster Mayhem (nvm I think that's already a game) maybe Monster Move(s) Monster makes his move/ breakout "a monster story" Or give the monster a name and do something with that...
Game Title How about... Monster Getaway Monster Skedaddle Monster Makes Tracks Monster Cut and Run Thanks
How about "Monster on the run"? For the logo you could write MONSTER in capital letters and paint the letters with a monster texture (e.g. a furry or skin-like texture). Underneath that you could write "on the run" with a bit of a motion blur and add a couple of monster footprints.
Fearsome Fabian's Frightful Flight* *(flight as in fleeing)[Fabian is an awesome monster name] MonsTurmoil
Thanks everyone for your help! I like quite a few of them! Sneaky Little Monster in probably my fav at the mo. I have also considered "Save the Monster" which tells the user exactly what the game is about, and fits in well with the app icon (to see, go to my twitter @ScottiStudios) What do you think?? TorbenFugger, Love your idea about having a "Furry" font, Ill have to try find one if I can!!
